Powdered Acidic Hair Rinse

When I went to Costa Rica for a week in 2014 I thought I could get away with skipping my apple cider vinegar rinses for a week. Oooooh boy, was I wrong. An acidic rinse works to smooth the shaft of the hair back down after basic shampoo opens everything up. My hair quickly became coarse and tangled as I failed to smooth the shaft down and all my little keratin scales caught on everything and anything. It was wretched. And that’s where this powdered acidic hair rinse comes in.

London Fog Lip Balm

I am quite smitten with this glossy, fragrant London Fog Lip Balm. Inspired by the lovely latte made with Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup, it conjures up memories of misty days wandering cobblestone lined streets with a woolen jacket and a chunky scarf. Perhaps you’re wearing a pair of knee-high boots and carrying a worn leather bag carrying a favourite book and a stamped postcard in need of a postbox. There’s a café in the square up ahead where you’ll warm up with a London Fog and do some people watching from a booth in the corner. There’s something just lovely about misty cities.

Rose & Neroli Vegan Deodorant

This smooth, brightly floral scented deodorant is just lovely. It melts into the skin quickly and beautifully, leaving you ready to tackle your days stink-free. Because it doesn’t contain any wax it melts to a thin liquid when massaged into the skin, meaning it absorbs almost instantly and won’t gum up your clothes.

Everyday French Green Clay Bar

Last September Margo, a reader and fellow clay aficionado, commented to tell me about this clay bar she used to buy at Sephora. It was just straight clay, in bar form, and it was nearly $50. Yipes! Margo quickly figured out that she could make her own for a lot less, and I loved that idea. It’s taken me a while to get to it, but here we are. This French green clay bar is spiked with some of my favourite face mask goodies, and I think you’ll like it.
