Peanut butter soup is one of the best meals I remember my mom making when I was a kid. Now, I’ll admit that 9-year-old me was a bit skeptical at first, but it was delicious, and I can remember telling a kid who was deathly allergic to peanuts that he was really missing out (sorry, Felix). Anyhow, unfortunately for me, my mother completely forgot about that soup, and by the time I thought to ask for it again, she was certain it had never existed. Oh well.

The more I see lipstick around—on album covers, in fashion shoots, and out on the street—the more I seem to like it. I believe that’s called a mere-exposure bias (“a psychological phenomenon whereby a person develops a preference for a stimulus based solely on his or her repeated exposure to [and subsequent familiarity with] it.” –Robert T. Gonzalez), but that’s fine with me. So, of course, I decided I had to make my own!

If you’ve ever been to Toronto and never eaten at Ravi Soup, you are seriously missing out. I’m sure everything there is good, but I always have the Porcini Mushroom Wild Rice Bisque (with crispy shallots and truffle oil), and Oven Roasted Veggie wrap. So, so, SO good! I soup is amazing, but the wrap… wow. So many veggies, gooey brie, and a delicious, chipotle sauce. Mmm.

I absolutely love toner. It’s a super easy way to give my face a quick cleaning and refreshing, especially after a walk on a hot summer day. Despite the leakage risks, I always travel with it—a small bottle makes for a nice, refreshing break on long flights. Unfortunately, it can also make for a lemongrass scented soggy mess if something gets bumped the wrong way. Hence, dry toner tablets!

If you’re a rock climber, by now you’re well into your spring training regime (though if you live up here in Canada you probably aren’t heading out to the mountains quite yet—brr!). And, unless you’ve been pretty diligent in the climbing gym all winter long, you’re probably nursing some pretty sore hands as your callouses re-form. This balm is for those sore palms—though you don’t have to be a rock climber to enjoy it! It’s great for any small owies, whether it be from new spring shoes or a slightly skinned knee.
