I was introduced to this delicious dip at one of Meredith’s fabulous parties. Meredith and I are both healthy foodie fiends, and we’re always swapping recipes. This one, however, was so simple, that nothing needed to be swapped besides a few words.

Peanut butter and yoghurt. That’s it. She used natural peanut butter with sweetened vanilla yoghurt, but I prefer to use plain Greek yoghurt and sweeten it with dark maple syrup. Sometimes I’ll add a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I brought these adorable little bites to a 12/12/12 party last week. It was a tapas potluck party, and I spent days brainstorming cute, tiny food before settling on these, inspired by a tapas recipe for a bit of toast rubbed with garlic and topped with sundried tomato.

I was visiting a friend the other day when he mentioned he had a garden out back. A garden full of tomatoes that he needed help using up. I eagerly volunteered to assist, and he sent me away with a big bag full of beautiful tomatoes, a few sprigs of basil and rosemary, and a few fat arms of an aloe vera plant. ‘Twas like Christmas came early.

During my stay at my family cabin in Manitoba my Grandma Irene and Aunt Karla introduced me to Furgasse bread. When they first mentioned it I thought they were talking about Fougasse bread, but they weren’t. They were talking about a super tasty enriched bread from the Onanole store. It’s wonderfully soft and studded with little bits of green onions and lots of cheddar cheese. Warm from the store, the smell is enough to make you eat it by the fistful straight from the bag while you’re still in the car.
