Ice Palace Sulfate-Free Shampoo Bar

Today we’re mashing up a beautiful Ice Palace Sulfate-Free Shampoo Bar. You don’t need to melt anything and you don’t need a press (you don’t even need a mould!). Just mix and mash everything together until you have a smooth, workable dough, shape that into some sort of shampoo-bar-ish shape, leave it to dry, and you’re done! The lather is really lovely—dense, rich, and plentiful—and my hair feels fantastic after washing with this Ice Palace Sulfate-Free Shampoo Bars (and then conditioning with last month’s Cocoa Coconut Simple Conditioner). You can also use this shampoo bar as a body wash bar to further reduce the number of bottles in your shower. Enjoy!

Cocoa Coconut Sticky Lip Balm

There was really no way I could do a Cocoa Coconut theme and not do a lip balm. Cocoa Coconut practically begs to be lip-balm-ized! Since we’re in the midst of ultra-dry wintery weather right now, I opted to make this a Cocoa Coconut Sticky Lip Balm because when it is super dry and my lips are chapped and angry, sticky lip balm is what works. Its thick, tacky consistency means it stays on your lips, trapping in moisture and giving the delicate skin there a chance to heal. While I love a slippy, glossy lip balm, they just don’t offer the same level of winter protection as a sticky lip balm. If you suffer from extra dry lips in the winter, I highly recommend giving this DIY a try!

Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream

This Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream is packed with great-for-skin actives and just a hint of mica for skin that positively glows. I was inspired to create a complexion-enhancing moisturizer by products like Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter and L’Oreal’s Lumi Glotion, but this Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream has some serious skincare credentials as well! You can use this gel cream alone or apply it under your foundation for a gorgeous glowing-from-within look—make sure you watch the video to see it in action. Let’s dive in!

Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion with Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate

Today we’re re-visiting this summer’s Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion to learn how to adapt formulations to use the emulsifier Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate instead of emulsifying waxes like PolawaxEmulsifying Wax NFOlivem 1000, BTMS-50, or Ritamulse SCG. I’ll also be showing you what happens when you swap them one-for-one and walking you through why you’ll want to make two changes to your formulations rather than just one. It’s all pretty simple, and will help you better understand why Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate is so unique and awesome ❤️ Let’s dive in!
