French Green Clay Sulphate-Free Shampoo Bar

Today we’re making a lovely French Green Clay Sulphate-Free Shampoo Bar. It features a beautiful, gentle surfactant blend, silky Abyssinian Oil, and creamy French green clay. It’s easy to make, with no heat required—just a bunch of squishing and stirring. The assembled mix is a soft, pliable dough that can be pressed or hand moulded, and then left to dry. Once dry, the bar lathers beautifully, leaves your hair feeling fantastic, and lasts for ages. Let’s dive in!

Silk & Shine Shampoo

I’m pretty darn excited to finally share a formulation for a liquid shampoo! I’ve had a lot of requests for a non-soap liquid shampoo over the last few years, and here we are. This one stars a surfactant blend that kicks off oodles of dense, thick lather, leaving your hair feeling all kinds of clean and silky. There are some conditioning goodies for manageability and panthenol + silk for added shine and bounce. It’s also cold-processed, so making it is as easy as measure, stir, and wait!

Pink Clay Mosaic Shampoo Bars

Today we’re squishin’ and mixin’ up a batch of pretty pink sulphate-free shampoo bars, featuring Australian pink clay and a blend of gentle surfactants. These beautiful bars kick out all kinds of gorgeous, creamy lather, and leave your hair wonderfully clean. They also take on a really cool mosaic-like appearance as you use them thanks to the contrast between the lumpy white Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) and the deep pink clay. Neat!

Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars

These beautiful Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars were inspired by a popular LUSH product, and I’ve had a ton of fun developing and testing this formulation. It is structured very differently from other shampoo bars I’ve shared, with no melted fatty hardeners like cocoa butter or stearic acid. It also includes water, glycerin, and carrageenan, which all seemed rather novel when I first started working on these, but I’m thrilled with how it’s all turned out. The finished bars lather up incredibly decadently—if there’s such a thing as “too much” lather, this might be it! Rich, silky bubbles for days 😍 I’ve been using this bar as a shampoo and body wash, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

White Chocolate Peppermint Shampoo Bars

This beautiful cream-coloured White Chocolate Peppermint Shampoo Bar delivers oodles of bubbles and a wonderful minty-chocolate scent in one elegant package (so to speak—shampoo bars are packaging-free!). I’ve called it a shampoo bar, but it also makes a beautiful body wash bar, helping reduce the number of products (and plastic bottles) in your shower. This is easily the simplest shampoo bar formulation I’ve shared so far, too!

Chocolate Rhassoul Shampoo Bars

I’ve been working on these chocolatey, clay-spiked shampoo bars since early March, and I’m super excited to finally share them with you today! They’ve got a stunning, creamy lather that leaves your hair feeling fabulous, and I’m making them with my beautiful new automatic press from the Edmonton-based The Bath Bomb Press company. You don’t need a press to make these, but I’m sure having a ton of fun with mine and love how quickly it produces super sturdy & professional-looking shampoo bars.
