Super Simple Oil-to-Milk Cleanser

Today’s Super Simple formulation is the most super-ly simple of the super simple formulations I’ve shared with just two ingredients! I’ve also shared two different variations and discussed how to customize it to make it as accessible as possible (and also to hopefully get you inspired to start formulating your own cleansing oils!). Let’s get started!

Super Simple Natural Foaming Hand Wash

Today I’m sharing a formulation for a Super Simple Natural Foaming Hand Wash. You’ll need just five ingredients, and I’ve tried to be really conscientious of global ingredient availability so hopefully you can make this hand wash no matter where in the world you live. I’ve also kept things all-natural, and have worked to make sure all the ingredients interplay perfectly so the making part is really simple. I’m pretty proud of this—let’s dive in!

Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion with Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate

Today we’re re-visiting this summer’s Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion to learn how to adapt formulations to use the emulsifier Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate instead of emulsifying waxes like PolawaxEmulsifying Wax NFOlivem 1000, BTMS-50, or Ritamulse SCG. I’ll also be showing you what happens when you swap them one-for-one and walking you through why you’ll want to make two changes to your formulations rather than just one. It’s all pretty simple, and will help you better understand why Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate is so unique and awesome ❤️ Let’s dive in!

Super Simple Whipped Shea Butter

Today’s project is another back-to-basics post—we’re making an all-natural Super Simple Whipped Shea Butter! You’ll need just four basic ingredients to create this decadent body butter. It’s not greasy, you don’t need to heat anything up, and half of the ingredients are easily substituted. If you’ve never made a whipped body butter before, or you just want to understand how they work a bit better, this post is a brilliant place to start. In the post, I’ll be going over the essential elements of this body butter and explaining why we use each ingredient, while the video focusses more on the making technique. Let’s dive in!

Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion

Today we’re going back to the basics with a Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion. I pared down the ingredients as much as I could, so this lotion just features five (5!) inexpensive ingredients that can be easily modified to suit what you have, or what you prefer. If you’ve never made lotion before, this is a fantastic place to start! In this post (and the partner video) I’ll be going over the essential components of lotions so you can easily and confidently make your own simple lotions at home. I’ll also be doing a follow-up live stream on this formulation this upcoming Sunday on YouTube where I’ll answer the questions I get + some of the more common DIY lotion questions I’ve heard over the years, so be sure to tune in for that as well!
