well, i use c-wax exclusively, so i`m getting the hang of it. 🙂
AND I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS SUPER IMPORTANT!!!
i don’t know if this also happens with beeswax, but i have noticed that when making a balm that is only made up of oils + wax, it gets harder than i expected. to soften it up, always add a little bit of a butter (i tend to go with cacao butter because hello, chocolate!). it`s strange but true!
so:
liquid fats + wax = harder final product
liquid fats + solid fat + wax = softer final product
anyone else notice this, too?
