Reply To: FDA Cosmetics Regulations

Since I don’t sell my products, I don’t know all the laws here in the US. I have been reading about changes coming, though, due to all the small business crafters selling products that aren’t registered with the FDA. I do know that registering with the FDA is voluntary as of now. You have a legal obligation to properly label your product, use GMP, and insure that your product is safe for its intended use. That, of course, leaves the door open for some to interpret safety as they see fit. So, these people who think “preservative free” water based products are safe since preservatives and “chemicals” are the devil, well…….need I say more?!? I have seen stuff sold here that I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole!!
