Thanks, Penny, I don’t like the taste of rose on my lips (and as much as I adore the scent, it is too strong for me), so I’d likely go with mint. I guess I’ll just have to play around, as you said. I have all of those colours except Mica Carmine Red and Mica Beige, but I do have liquid carmine. I really must get some powder. I generally purchase from Saffire Blue in Canada, but I might have to switch to another because they haven’t had it in over a year.

I generally use one recipe for lip balm, but I’ll follow one of Marie’s recipes for a lip stick or a lip shimmer.

I was lucky with Marie’s foundation. In another post, I shared that even though the Medium Neutral recipe turns out to be substantially darker in colour than the mineral foundation I used to use, the colour is perfect and completely takes away the very red tone of my skin. I just added a titch more yellow. I also adore that there is oil in it, which makes it adhere to my skin better. I am so glad I can now make my own foundation. One day I’ll venture into the eyebrow, concealer, and cheek colour…
