This thread hasn’t been active for a while! I thought I would start it up again.
I will be done with my university exams on Dec. 13 (yay!) and then am planning to make some products. I’m hoping to make shampoo for the first time. I bought the ingredients a while ago, but didn’t have time yet. I’ll also be making some more lotion. I’ve pretty much became the family lotion maker. Everyone wants it now, even my father and grandpa, who previously didn’t even want to try it. Now they can’t live without it, lol.
I’ve also been busy with the animals. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. Hopefully one of my does is bred (the buck bred her, but we’ll see if she’s pregnant around Dec. 21). I’d like to have another doe bred, but the buck I want for her is not really interested in the girls yet, lol. The other is her twin, so I can’t use him. Everyone is doing well though. They’ve been free-ranging during the day and love it. Now, if they have to stay in their pen, as soon as I open the door, they rush out as if they’ve been prisoners, lol. Before they were happy in their big pens. They love to stay near our patio door when relaxing, so we can pet them without freezing outside.
I can’t wait for next spring, to finally sow hay seeds in what has become a mud field right behind the house. During the constructions, all the machinery killed the hay. It’s awful to walk in when wet because it’s clay. Our feet end up extremely heavy. Now it’s frozen, so it’s ok. We put down dried hay to make a path as well. Not very pretty for pictures though either! The snow should cover it soon, lol.
