Yes, they are the same thing, from what I’m seeing.

Oh la la! I was on the site playing with different items when the first translator said coconut bubbles. How awesome is that? Like I had a choice in buying it. Now just need some recipes to play with! And time.

So…I love the SheaMoisture cream gel. It’s liquidy gel cream. It smells great. I don’t get ick hair. Ick hair bad. Blueberry bliss is definitely going on the can work with but not daily list. If I use lightly, once every couple of days as long as I cowash between. The spray gel…that is this week’s project for hair. Lol

So, I trimmed the bangs. Not a lot, about 1/4″. I’m happy with it as the bangs are growing like weeeds. Who knew getting out the silicone would help?

So…I need to make male happy. Right now, the shampoos and conditioners I bought for him are okay. (Imagine guy pout.) which means it works but he wants results NOW. I’m thinking of adding some essential oils to them. Whatcha think?

What shampoo and conditioner did you buy for him? If he’s on week 7 or so, like you said you were, then the detox should be pretty much done by now. Maybe his hair doesn’t like the brands you bought him? My hair likes what it likes, and the other stuff I’ve bought/used ranges from meh to blah to “GET THAT SH….TUFF AWAY FROM ME!!!!”. Yes, my hair can be a drama queen! There’s a new product I tried yesterday to refresh my 2nd day hair and, to be quite blunt, it SUCKS!! My hair feels greasy and dry, all at the same time. Quite an accomplishment, you sucky styling gel curl cream useless product!!

I am on the fence about the essential oils being added to his products. I think first and foremost, you need to find a base shampoo/conditioner combo that works for him. What is his hair type info? What styling products, if any, is he using?

Have you tried the Shea Moisture Peace Rose styling cream gel yet? You like the scent of roses, right?

Heh. He’s on week two. I had to wait until he finished up his beloved Pantene. He’s using Cantu for men. Honestly, his hair feels better and looks better. I think from his comments he was expecting miracle regrowth and control. He used to have well behaved wavy hair. Now he keeps it short because it doesn’t and as he gets older, the hair is going poof. I was debating the essential oils to stimulate the scalp since that seems to be his major concern.

Styling products? Hehehe. He doesn’t. Wash and go. If I’m lucky I can get him to use a shine and protectant on his hair. If I’m lucky.

I haven’t tried the Peace one yet. Right now, the Superfruit and I are doing well. I’m trying the Jane Carter spray gel as a just in case. The SheaMoisture spray mist with coconut and hibiscus seems too heavy. Sigh. Maybe he can use it. Hmmm.

Try using the spray this way…. spray one or two spritzes onto your hands first, rub together, then glide over your hair. This applies a much lighter amount but you still get the benefits.

Tell your man to have patience! He didn’t dry out his poor hair and scalp in one day, so he shouldn’t expect it to get insta-healthy with a snap of his fingers. It takes time to purge those sulfates!

On the essential oil issue, maybe try a hair oil for him to use like you use your hair oil. Massage into scalp at night and wash out in the morning. It can’t hurt, unless he’s allergic to EVERYTHING like I am! Haha

Nope, not allergic, just impatient. Very impatient. He’s a brat. But I love him.

I’ve had so many epic fails with shampoo that I gave up making them. They always separate. I was so excited about Marie’s formula for her Shampoo bar which I now make and I LOVE! My hair is waist length, very fine and can get super greasy, so I only condition the ends. I only use two surfactants~ 30% Cocamydopropyl betaine and 25% SCI and find it very gentle and the foam rich and creamy. I use half BTMS-25 and half BTMS-50. I used to wash my hair every second day and now every 4 days. My hair is now silky soft and shiny, and never looked better! I just bought some Marshmallow root and looking forward to trying it in the next Shampoo bar without using a conditioner after. Soap and more gave me a complimentary Spirulina powder which I’m also going to try after reading some comments on Chemist corner about it. Sounds promising!
