I DID IT! I made soap! *runs around screaming* I made soap! My NDA stuff won’t come until Friday and I said, “I need to do this!” So I gathered my stuff, hit soapcalc after video bingeing. Then after trial and error- I was trying to figure out the qualities thing…I finally got what I wanted and Voila!
Oh and I get the whole, don’t blitz too long with the immersion blender thing now. OMG! Warn a Bee next time! 🐝

Yep, learning to control trace is one of the hardest things in soaping. Trace is one ornery fella sometimes!
Well done! I’m sorry I’m late in my reply, I forgot my password! I love the two colours. Did you add your TD to the whole batch or just half?
While batch with titanium dioxide and kaolin clay. Then only half with orange oxide. Which a Long way!
Omg, my phone and I need work typing. Whole batch was titanium dioxide with the kaolin clay. Then I halved it and added the orange to one half only. I took notes. I watched videos. I kept track of what you and Twin said…and completely forgot to not blend to s with the hand blender. That was a major first experience of “OMG, hurry!”
And I made my notes on soapcalc sheet so I can keep track of recipes. 😄
Is it wrong that now that my oils from NDA arrived, I want to soap tomorrow? Like, seriously, I’m itching to make like major soap project now. You all have spoiled me! I think it’s true…I am…addicted. 😱

I’m so addicted. Before it was just reading the blogs and videos. Now….now I’ll want to make all those blogs and videos. This cannot be good. No. I am soaped, hear me break out the oils! *And send all NDA gift cards, lotioncrafters, etc…*

Haha! We could create a Soapers Anonymous, but who would go?? We love our soaping addiction! I keep trying to get my friends here in on the addiction, but so far, just some curious inquiries but no follow through. They just don’t know what they’re missing!!
It’s wild. My family is like, okayyy. But this is the same family that loves my skincare stuff. Lol. So, they can make faces because once they have it, they’ll be thrilled. Lol
I saw soap with pictures in it! Like art in soap. 😲 How the heck….now I have more videos. But that apple one, yeah, I want to learn that.
Let’s get a few more batches under your belt before you try and tackle pictures. Kapia Mera has done a couple of “picture” soaps and that is a loooooong process! I get tired of standing on my feet after three hours, so I don’t think I’d have the stamina to do a picture soap.
Eeek! My first order arrived this morning! Now i need to go get a pair of goggles and a mask, and some inexpensive olive oil and get soaping!! It’s high time i crossed to the other side!
