Does anyone have a good recipe for Sunburn and Reddness Relief?
I will be going on vacation soon and try as I might and no matter if I dump a bucket of sunscreen on me, I will get some type of burn.
And on that note what is everyone’s favorite least toxic sunscreens?
Didn’t Marie make a sunburn relief spray a while back?? Like waaaay back?? I seem to be remembering something with aloe and lavender essential oil, maybe??
I just use Coppertone, Banana Boat, whatever they have at Target that’s 30-50 SPF and stays on for a while.
I use 1/4 of the bottle of apple cider vinegar, fill the rest with water and a few drops of peppermint. That my go to sun relief when I’m in Mexico. I’ve never needed it here though.
This doesn’t cure a sun burn, it helps to remove the sting. Also works great as a mosquito itch relief!
Belinda, yes I did a search after posting this. (guess I should have posted beforehand). I saw that lotion, sadly right now I don’t have much of the DIY ingredients. After finding this site and buying Marie’s book I am slowly developing a DIY ingredients cache. Just trying not to break the bank doing it lol.
Penny, that is a good recipe yes I need something to help with the sting. I think I will add aloe vera too.
Right I got lots of peppermint and great suggestion for the air conditioning in a bottle I have forgotten about that recipe. I found another recipe I might be able to do mash up of the two, thank you Penny.
I loveliving libations all about the sun I used it all last summer. I would love to make my own version. Sorry this is too late, but I hope you enjoy your trip!
