Soap porn! I love and hate looking at finished soap. Love it because some are just so pretty and hate/envy because I want to do it but I like the hard oil benefits in my soap too much to have all liquids so I give up awesome designs!
Have you seen the tear drop method of pouring?
No, that method you are talking about is the one in the picture. Teardrop, when you cut the soap, it looks like a tear drop! You pour your loaf mold half full, then pour a single line of other colour soap down the middle. Take another colour, same thing but over the line. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat as often or as little you’d like. Take remainder of the uncoloured soap and gently pour down the sides.
Looks amazing! I can’t wait till March or April to try this one!
Ohhhh! I know what you’re talking about! Yes, that looks hard, and no, I haven’t tried it. Kapia Mera has a video of doing one. Hers turned out pretty nice. Seriously, I’m still trying to get consistent on swirling. It looks so easy, but sometimes I just can’t get it right. I just need to practice more!

Handmade in Florida makes GORGEOUS soaps!! I’ve seen other videos and pics of her soaps and I drool every time! She is truly an artist.
The first video I think I may have seen before, or one similar. This type of design is why I bought my silicone mold with dividers.
The third video was cracking me up! That lady’s kids!! I would have been “Excuse me while I turn off this video. I don’t want any witnesses….”. She’s just taking it all in stride. I have to concentrate when I make soap. Don’t talk to me! Haha!
Watching that video, too, makes me wonder who first thought up the idea of pouring caustic liquid into a mixer while it was running….hmmmmmm…. It looks pretty cool, though! Her soap was really pretty, all pink, purple, and white. Very girly!! I may try that one day.
I know, right? But the whole whipped soap, prettiness. Just seems so cool. I can’t make stuff when male is around because he interrupts constantly to talk about….nothing. But he demands my attention on him, not what I’m doing. Lol
I get that. I can be ignored for hours, but let me start crafting and they come out of the woodwork, peppering me with yammering and demands! Really?!?!?!
Tonight is one of those nights. In this case, it’s a matter of truth versus they’re all like that… and I went off. The joy off me mourning my mom. But he shouldn’t have started it by bothering me.
Which is why I close my door when I’m working on stuff. But it’s like a magnet. Argh!
Yeah, it’s like nobody calls me all day, but let me go to the bathroom and I swear the phone rings EVERY TIME!! I’m getting a little paranoid, to be honest. Is there a signal being broadcast or something?!?!
Sorry you’re having a bad time. Tell man to leave you alone, but leave food, gifts, and chocolate at your closed door in repentance for being a pain.
