ParticipantI was reading a while back on the Soap Making Forum about making whipped soap and cream soap. Maybe I am confusing the two?? I know one you had to let “rot” similar to a CP cure time. There’s so many different ways to make soap it all gets a little confusing after a while!
I know what you mean about sticking your finger into it! It looks very fluffy and yummy! I’d want to do that too if it was right in front of me. But, I’ve licked soap before, doing a zap test, and noooooo!!! Yucky yucky gross!!

ParticipantThat’s so gorgeous! I want to make that! Foaming soap. Ooooh! *sigh* You all are contributing to the delinquency of a Cyn.

ParticipantAt least twelve steps. Might be more depending on the kinds of soaps I find.

Participantso my understanding is the cream soap was a base for the whipped soap. You add the stearic acid and whip it and then add your fragrance and clay and whip it more 🙂 I don’t know what else you use cream soap for? ITs’ still frothy today, so I’m thinking it will hold it 🙂

ParticipantYes! I found a cream whipped soap recipe I understand! Lol
This is awesome!https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/whipped-cream-soap It explains the process, though not amounts. But at least I comprehend the way it works now. I want this. It would make amazing body scrubs with sugar or salt.
Then I found a recipe! Well, two really. And the rotting thing is explained too.

Then I searched the Hive archives and sure enough, Marie had kindly done a recipe to make it even easier. 😁
Yup, I’m putting this in the want pile. This is growing way bigger than I thought!

ParticipantAh yes. I have been scratching my head today thinking that Marie had posted or did she? I know she did. Are you sure? No really. She did? Then why can’t you remember for sure? Yes, welcome to one of the many conversations going on up there.
I did try the whipped/cream soap a while back! But it turns out my KOH doesn’t like me. And after many batches, decided to go cp soap only.
But it looks like such fun!

ParticipantThere are so many different ways to do a soap recipe, just when you think you’ve read them all, yet another way to do soap pops up! Twin, you will drive yourself mad with this!!
