Twin, the pearled one. I like it best. The other one needs to be in my house for holidays. But the pearled one would be all year long!

So, I decided one day, I wanted to see some fun neat soap designs. Then I found this page and I cried. I got hungry. Whimper.

The Space Invader aliens were so awesome. The food ones were amazing. I’m trying to be calm waiting for my soap to finish curing. My first batch should be done in another two weeks. But the new batch will take at least eight weeks if not longer since I used more olive oil. But it looks so pretty. Sigh.

Yes, the waiting for cure part is awful, especially since it’s your first batch.

Well Cyn! I’ve got news for you!!!

Every soap I make, I get bum peices. Usually these are the little ends of the soap that are tiny and wicked thin. These peices usually cure up in no time. I test out one after two weeks of curing just to satisfy my crazy need to try it out. It is always a little too stripping, but it gives you an idea of what your soap will be like. And once you get your recipe set and use the same one over and over and over again, it gives you a good idea how the soap will be because you will know that at this point in its cure cycle it should feel like this. And then you need to learn how your climate reacts with your cure and the season…

I wish I lived in Calgary. According to Marie it is dry all the time! Perfect cure weather!
