Oh no! Poor mama goat!😢😢 Hopefully the next Mama goat to give birth will have healthy babies. I’d love to have goats in the backyard but I don’t think the city I live in would like that! Plus, my husband says they will eat everything in our backyard. I would not like that! My azalea bushes!!!!

The goats wouldn’t like your azalea bushes either! They are poisonous to them.

I hope the next goat has healthy kids too, even if they aren’t girls. Poor momma, but at least she still has one kid. I do hope the next one has 2 girls though, because this breeder allows us to visit the goats, while the other doesn’t until they are vaccinated, then only once.

I know some cities allow miniature goats, but not ours.

Azaleas poisonous to goats. Good to know. Great info for a writer. *scribbles in notebook* The things I learn with you ladies are amazing!

The goats from the lady I thought I would purchase from all died at birth, unfortunately. But thankfully I was on the waiting list for a few other breeders.

This is the first goat I purchased! Haven’t met her yet because the breeder is 3 hours away, but I will be getting her somewhere at the end of June – beginning July.

The others haven’t been bought yet, but potential goats have been born yesterday. The breeder said she’d send me pictures today, but probably got too busy, so hopefully tomorrow!

    Meet Framboise!

    She’s adorable, isn’t she.

These are the two other babies! They should be mine, but the breeder is busy right now so hasn’t confirmed yet (but she contacted me to let me know they were available for me, so they are technically mine).

I’m so excited! Noisette (Hazelnut) comes from AMAZING milk gentics (her dad comes from an imported buck from the US. The US have been breeding this breed for much longer and have much more goats – around 110 000, compared to around 5500 in Canada, and they have had time to really improve the milk production in these minis). Framboise has very good genetics as well (her mom gives 2L/day, which is huge for a 40-70lbs goat) but probably not as good as Noisette.

Quinoa is the little twin that will be wethered. It’s better not to seperate litter mates if possible since they are very bonded. Framboise was a triplet, but her brothers were already reserved to a couple who have been waiting a very long time for them. Eventually, Quinoa might be placed with a buck to keep him company without risking pregnancies with our girls. I would love to buy a buck from a breeder in BC who has US lines (she owns Noisette’s grandpa and her father was born there), but of course get an unrelated goat. A few breeders have had goats shipped from her by plane. I’ll have to save up! But if I sell the babies they get once weaned (idk how I’ll be able to give them up!), they will quickly repay themselves.

Lol this has become completely unrelated to cosmetics!

Yes, we have certainly digressed, but I am loving the pictures of the baby goats! They are beautiful and I wish you great success with them. I’m so jealous of all the fresh goat milk you’re going to have. Do you make CP soap Joyful? If not you need to learn. Goats milk soap is so nice! Check out Ava and Snow goat soap. Soap Queen featured them recently and their soaps look wonderful!
