Ok i am having some horrendous customer service issues with Saffire blue. Am i the only one? Are there any good replacement suppliers?

You’re in the US, right? I ordered from TKB Trading and they were great, very prompt, no issues.

I’ve also ordered from Wholesale Supplies Plus with no issues, free shipping with $40 order, and if you set up an account when you order, you get free electronic access to the current edition of Homemade Magazine, which is nice. The more you order from them, too, the higher level you go, and you get coupons at every level. I’m a Bronze level, the lowest, and here are my coupons for this month.

    WSP coupons for Feb

I ordered some of my micas at NDA, which I love them, best prices you’ll find anywhere, but you have to spend at least $100 with them, so I only order from them when I need and/or am out of a bunch of supplies.

Lotioncrafter is excellent too. Never had a problem with them. I don’t think they sell makeup stuff, though, but I’ve never actually paid attention.

If you are in Canada, however, the only places I’ve heard Marie talk about besides Saffire Blue and TKB, is Windy Point and New Directions. Susan at Point of Interest talks about Voyageur Soap and Candle, which is Canadian-based. I’m in the US, so I have no experience with any of these companies.

Hope this helps you out Zil!

OK, then you have a lot of places to shop from! We have some pretty good sources here in the US. I know Cyn shops on Etsy too, so maybe she will chime in on some good shops on there.

Wholesale Supplies Plus also have FABULOUS prices on containers, if you need any of those.

Yeah, if you are in the USA shop with TKB all the way. Their prices, selection, and customer service are fantastic (and superior). I’ve never had a bad experience with Saffire Blue, BUT I know they know who I am… so I wonder if they go out of their way to keep me happy. I have heard other readers have had issues (maybe 2x a year?), but I’ve also heard from plenty who have received orders with no issues so… I dunno.

Depends on what you’re looking for. They’re are two great companies to get cosmetic “chemicals”- Making Cosmetics and Chemistry Connection. Great people, never had a problem.

Soap and makeup stuff- Wild Rose Herbs, CandleLynn Supplies, Sahara supplies just to name a few.

ARGHHHHHHH! I placed an order with saffireblue on Feb 10, it finally arrived and NO boron nitride!!! The whole reason I ordered from there in the first place. Its available now, but not when they shipped??? And held the shipment for 3 weeks to wait for stuff??? FRUSTRATED!!!!

Oh no. I’d call and demand they recompense for the time lost or at least for the boron nitride itself. That’s ridiculous.

I’d be having me a little chat with them, Connie. That’s ridiculous!! How very frustrating!!😡😡😡

Chatting with them is pointless. I am still waiting for shipment I ordered months ago and they keep telling me it will arrive it a week. They wont let me talk with a manager or anything.

I had a little note saying it wasn’t shipped and I would be refunded, which I haven’t been. I haven’t had trouble before and don’t want to wreck a budding relationship, lol. Its the only Canadian source for the boron that I can find. Just frustrating because even if they ship it, I still have a two week wait to get my hands on it and I was going to play with it before the weather gets nice and I start to garden instead of make stuff.

I saw some on the Canadian Etsy site, but the seller was shipping it from China. I’d call Safire Blue first and see I found they are shipping it to you since they haven’t refunded your money. If not, then maybe order it from Etsy or the States. TKB ships internationally. I know that’s a more expensive option for y’all up in Canada, but if Safire Blue isn’t going to play nice, I don’t know what other options you have. Unless you can call another shop like Voyageur or Purple Citrus and see if they’ll start carrying it.

Yeah. When I do my research, I’ll keep an eye out for sites for you all too. This is just not cool. Check Making Cosmetics to be safe, but yeah. How rude of them.

I ordered once from Saffire and never have again, in five years, their treatment of me as a customer was so horrid. I was made to feel like a speck of dirt on their warehouse floor and most DEFINITELY not worth bothering with. I REFUSE to do business with them ever again. I’m in Canada and love, love, love: Windy Point and Voyageur Soap & Candle. Those are the two I stick with, depending on what I’m ordering. Best selection, prices and service. Mystic Moments on amazon.ca are great for the odd item I can’t find anywhere else, like broccoli seed oil. With them, you can order one or two items at reasonable prices and fast, ‘free’ shipping. I tried TKB once and was very happy…order arrived in three days, prices and selection great.
