I have just started making my own products, thanks to Humble Bee, about 6 months ago. One problem I’m running into is labels. I have HORRIBLE handwriting and no one can read anything I’ve written. I’ve been using Avery labels for some of my stuff but can’t find labels for lip balm tubes, at least not that I can create on the computer. I should say that I have found a few places that will make labels but the minimum order is around 1,000. I’m never going to use or make 1,000 tubes of lip balm. Does anyone have any good resources I could look into?
I bought a label maker off amazon. I use it at work and it seems to be tolerate to the oils and stays stuck. it also writes neater than I do 🙂 I picked it up on a daily deal for 15$ and the tape is cheap for refills. I don’t know if that helps, good luck 🙂
I bought the full sheet avery labels and made a word document for different sized labels, and just print them and cut. With the full sheet, I can have any size of product or shape. Make sure you get the kinda shiny ones though. I didn’t by accident, so I need to spray it with a waterproofing spray after printing, which is annoying since it needs 2 coats and time for the paper to stop smelling chemically, so get the shiny/waterproof ones.
You'll need to upload them to a free image hosting service first—Imgur (http://imgur.com/) is great and doesn't require you to sign up for an account. Simply click " New Post" at the top of the page, drag your images into the window that pops up, and the images will automatically upload. From there you can hover the images and copy the URL that appears; simply paste that URL into your post on a new line and the image will appear automatically when you post!
