So I want to dive into the lip gloss as I got my tubes today. The question I have the lip gloss recipes on the websites that contain glycerin do not have a preservative in them yet the one in the book does. My question is why?
Most people think they can be natural and not use preservatives. However if you use anything that can draw water or has water in it, you need preservatives. Otherwise you can get germs to make you sick. Don’t risk it.
no worries, I understand that preservatives are needed.
I guess what I meant was lets take for example the beetroot gloss and the snow white gloss on the blog, they both have glycerine and yet there is no mention of adding a preservative but the recipe in the book that uses glycerine calls for a preservative. so I was wondering why add it in the recipe in the book but not the recipes on the blog?
Ah, early on, Marie was testing out preservative versus no preservatives. That pure and natural thing. She discovered it wasn’t the best idea to not use preservatives in some cases.
You'll need to upload them to a free image hosting service first—Imgur (http://imgur.com/) is great and doesn't require you to sign up for an account. Simply click " New Post" at the top of the page, drag your images into the window that pops up, and the images will automatically upload. From there you can hover the images and copy the URL that appears; simply paste that URL into your post on a new line and the image will appear automatically when you post!
