ParticipantI’ve been reading. I know how the heat packs work. I just don’t know if we can make them. Lol. Clickheat is the company I know about.

The only hack method I know is this

I love the fact that I’m not alone in the food grade vs. cosmetic grade. If it’s safe to eat, then I feel safer than if it’s only skin safe. Weird, but there you go. It’s like the therapeutic vs not in essential oils. Technically there is no approved therapeutic grade in essential oils. So a company can claim it, but there’s no recognized standard. It all boils down to the GC/MS and learning how to read it.
Twin told me I didn’t have to waste my good eating olive oil in my soaping. This is a good thing.

ParticipantClick heat? So weirdly cool!
And I found an international market here (two of them but same people run both) that goes by the name Framers Market. Just Memphis Farmers Market/Cordova Farmers Market, but from the reviews I read, are supposed to be awesome, cheap, fresh, clean, and have items you can’t get any other place here. I’m checking it out tomorrow! Maybe they will have the self-heating eye masks.
I remember reading that about EOs and the so called therapeutic grade ones. Most of mine are from New Directions and they seem to be just fine to me. I’m not using mine in any healing capacity, though. They just smell purty!!

ParticipantFarmers markets rock. We have a small one. Closest big one is a couple hours away.

ParticipantThis wasn’t really a farmers market so much as an international grocery store. That’s why I’m kinda laughing about it. It’s really mis-named! They did not have the cool self heating eye masks. Bummer! But I did get rose water and orange blossom water. Score!

ParticipantI obviously need to go there and shop. It’s my kind of place.

ParticipantIt was FREEZING in there! It was warmer outside than it was in that place! It also would have been helpful to be able to read Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, etc….So many products were from other countries and sometimes there was no label in English. Or pictures on the label of what it might be. And sometimes there were things that I wished I couldn’t read the label! Shrimp chips….as in shrimp flavored potato chips. Or, could have been shrimps pounded flat and freeze dried into chips. I really don’t know but that just sounded gross no matter which way I looked at it!

ParticipantI’m good at Spanish, German, Dutch, and French. Otherwise, well nope. Lol.
Huh. Shrimp chips. Interestingly disgusting.

ParticipantAre you sure they weren’t prawn crackers/chips?
There is this one kind of chip here that is spicy shrimp flavoured and it’s a wee bit sweet. Not a bad chip, but not a good chip either.
Belinda, wait till you get the English package with Chinese stickers over all the ingredients or over just the English section of the package. I’m telling you, customs does not like English!

ParticipantObviously English is confusing. 😂 Well it is. Even for native speakers. Lol Now I want shrimp and crackers.

ParticipantI can’t remember exactly Barb. It could have been. I remember I was in the chip aisle and it was there. The English that was either on the package or on the label that was on the shelf said “shrimp chips”, I do believe. I really had to keep moving on that one because that just grossed me out! Haha! I’ll have to go back again and take pictures. I had time constraints that day and was sort of barreling through the aisles at a fast pace, looking for rose and orange blossom water. I only stopped and really looked if I saw something I thought I could use for crafting or something I might like to eat. Shrimp chips did not fall into either category!
I got a Ritter bar there….chocolate with strawberry cream filling. OMG!! Sooooooo good! Me and the hubby sat and ate the whole thing! I had to keep slapping his hand to keep him from my half! NO! MINE!!! I really wish we got more of a selection of those here. They are so good!!

ParticipantRitter bar? What is this delicious thing? It sounds so beautiful and wonderful.
February 20, 2017 at 9:08 pm #20476BelindaSK
ParticipantRitter bars are chocolate bars from Germany. They’re square bars and some of the most delicious chocolate you will ever eat. There are stores here that carry them, but not with the variety you will find in Germany. I wonder if you can order them online?? Hmmmm……I’m going to check that out! The white chocolate strawberry rhubarb is to.die.for!!!!!

ParticipantOmg, that’s like when I get my Tim Tams. Tim Tams are beautiful. Divine decadent cookies from Australia. I love them. 💜❤️💜💖💘

ParticipantWell, I think Cyn wins this one as Tim Tam’s have a ton of new awesome yummy flavours. And I love Ritters, they have divine and lovely chocolate, but hold no candle to the like of coconut cream Tim Tams or salted caramel….
Mmmmmm….
