ParticipantI was looking for soap inspiration to beat the Lego one in my head and came across this.
Number 1: I use preservatives in my products. And will continue to use preservatives in my products. Not the same thing naturally found in fermented veggies. Um… no.
Number 2: I love my Olivem300. It shall remain.
Number 3: Wall. Meet Head. Repeat.
I’m looking at taking a course offered in the UK on skin care and I’m trying to get some questions answered. My biggest fear is that their version of “natural” means using things like the fermented veggies as the preservative. I wonder how something like that would be assessed?

ParticipantBarb, that preservative they’re talking about is leucidal liquid. Susan no longer recommends it because it has failed challenge test after challenge test. Badger Balm had to recall all their products that used this as a preservative. All the other stuff in the article, BLAH BLAH BLAH…..been there, read that. Yawn……
I love dimethicone and use it in all my winter lotions. It’s the only ingredient I’ve found that keeps the winter itchiness at bay. It’s a must have! Love Olivem 300 too! Awesome stuff!
Ah yes! Didn’t I warn you?? Reading on the internet will produce spontaneous head banging when reading something idiotic. It’s a fact proven by science……😂😂😂 I read it on the internet so it must be true!

KeymasterOOooh geez haha. That’s… that’s the kind of person who thinks they can live without chemicals.

ParticipantThe person who “lives without chemicals” (total sarcasm in the tone of voice in my head when I say this) must be related to the person my husband had a conversation with regarding the saying “all things are a poison and all things are a cure…” or however the saying goes. The person he was talking to didn’t understand what he meant by that so he was giving examples. Botox vs botulism toxin…they totally didn’t get this one…their comment “but Botox hasn’t killed anyone!”. Um, have you seen the people that get a lot of it…haha (Ok, that was me). So he tried using water…”but water is healthy for you!” was their comment. My husband’s response “Ever heard of drowning?”. The third example was a bottle of wine (he was at a vineyard). Their comment “this bottle of wine won’t kill you!” My husband…”if I dropped it off a 10 story building and it hit you in the head, it most certainly would!” OOOOHHHH! And the light bulb flickered over their head…… I know, I’m being a bit mean and sarcastic, but come on! Are people truly that uneducated?!?! Aren’t you required by law to take basic science classes in school??

ParticipantLOL you don’t even have to drown to die by water. if you drink a gallon of water in a very short amount of time you can die because it will rapidly dilute your blood and disrupt the electrolyte balance.
science classes are obligatory in school, yes, BUT USING YOUR BRAIN ISN’T. 😉
and most people are pretty much brain-dead zombies shuffling around. true story!

ParticipantAhhhhh! That’s what I’m missing!!! The USING YOUR BRAIN part of the equation!! You are absolutely right bellbottom!! Hahaha!

Participant*passes Belinda the cinnamon, elmers glue and a cup of coffee*, Belinda, you must choose. But choose wisely.
Bellbottom, you’re right! And that is a brilliant expression, but using your head isn’t!

ParticipantI’ll take the Elmer’s glue and cinnamon, and just for fun, add the coffee grounds to it. I bet it’d make a fabulous face mask/scrub!!! I should post this on Pinterest!! All those things are NATURAL, well, except the Elmer’s glue, but kids eat it in school, so how bad can it be?!?! Right?!?!
