Is Ultrez something I can add instead of xanthan gum in your chamomile cleanser?

Susan on Point of Interest blog says Ultrez 20 can handle 10-12% surfactant content in a formulation. Marie’s cleanser recipe is 20% surfactants, so the gel will un-gel within a few months, according to Susan.

Thank you on both counts Belinda! Glad to be here! It’s great to have this as a resource now. My partner has no interest in hearing me babble on about all these topics any longer 🙂

I was playing with the Ultrez20 today, we were trying to make gel toners. We messed up somewhere because the salicylic acid that my friend insisted on using separated out in the final product:( We mixed it with propylene glycol to dissolve it. Something didn’t work. I love the wobbly goo that you can make with this, I have a few lovely jelly moisturizers now. NExt up shower jellies 🙂
