Help! I made Maries hair pudding and poured my emulsified lotion into a narrow neck bottle before it set. I have a pump that I was going to use to pump the lotion out, however it doesn’t work and I can’t get the lotion out of the bottle. Any suggestions welcome 🙂 and btw….you should try it! It smells heavenly, as do all her creations and it really worked in my low porosity wavy hair 🙂

I did something like that once. I put a body butter into some narrow neck bottles and that stuff wouldn’t move! I literally had to “bang” it out of there into a jar container. It took me about an hour to get that stuff out of those bottles! You’ll have to put some type of flat top lid on the bottle to bang it on the counter upside down to get it to move downwards. Can you squeeze the bottle it’s in? I could squeeze mine to force it out after it had moved down the bottle neck. Bang, bang, bang, squeeze a handful out into jar, start over with banging process. It was not a fun project but I was determined not to lose that body butter! 😂😂

I don’t think you can re-liquefy it because that breaks the emulsion, from what I understand.

I’ll have to look back on the site and see which one is the hair pudding. I want to make some hair stuff! I don’t know why. My bathroom cabinet is full of hair products……😜😁

I’m glad your hair likes it! I hope you can get the hair pudding out of that bottle.

I did reheat :O and caught it just as it softened. I was able to pour it out and not wreck the emulse :D, well, I hope anyway….a little separated after a bit.

Yep, it’s Marie’s Crazy Hair Pudding. I want to make this too! I think I’d switch the oat milk out for distilled water or hydrosol and put in 2 g hydrolyzed oats, dropping the beeswax. Maybe upping the cupuacu and lowering liquid oils to increase the “stiffness” that beeswax would have added to the mixture.

Its pretty stiff made as is, you might not have to do much to keep it lotiony.
