    How To Fix Dehydrated Skin

    The Importance of pH

Barrier Repair The Key To Healthy Skin

Here’s (a lot) of suggested reading for you that I myself found VERY enlightening and helpful. The info in these articles is all related to the importance of repairing and maintaining the barrier function of the skin, so no matter what particular skin complaint you have, with this knowledge, you will fix it. There is more out there on the subject, but these are the three that I found super informative.

Have you tried applying powder foundation with a good quality flocked sponge? I have had the same experience as you and have yet to completely solve the issue, but the sponge helps greatly.

I think you should start from the beginning and talk about what lead to the book. Most people don’t give one thought to what they are putting on their bodies. It will get some of them thinking. You will sell books and will inspire many new diy-ers, no doubt!

Minicoopergirl, Have you tried broccoli seed oil yet? It’s in Marie’s restorative conditioner recipe and is purported to be a good ‘natural silicone’.

OliviaCanela, I’ve seen Marie rave about Yellowbee for containers.

Review page 88 of Marie’s book, starting at paragraph 9 as she talks about this in there. Have you tried leaving it on your face for a while? I find the mineral makeup can look too light at initial application, but tends to warm up after a bit of time on the skin.

SimplyShe, Windy Point in Calgary is now carrying boron nitride, as well as some of the other items you need for the makeup recipes.

I ordered once from Saffire and never have again, in five years, their treatment of me as a customer was so horrid. I was made to feel like a speck of dirt on their warehouse floor and most DEFINITELY not worth bothering with. I REFUSE to do business with them ever again. I’m in Canada and love, love, love: Windy Point and Voyageur Soap & Candle. Those are the two I stick with, depending on what I’m ordering. Best selection, prices and service. Mystic Moments on amazon.ca are great for the odd item I can’t find anywhere else, like broccoli seed oil. With them, you can order one or two items at reasonable prices and fast, ‘free’ shipping. I tried TKB once and was very happy…order arrived in three days, prices and selection great.
