Thank you 🙂 most of the products sold by diypak can be bought from diycosmeticcontainers, which do ship to Canada, so it’s not too bad.

So I made the berry red lip paint, and it turned out orange with a slight brown tint. It’s more orange than it looks in the picture, but I don’t have any others at the moment.

I was hoping to get the colour you got, Zil.

I went back to check diypak, and saw that they only ship within the US…

You would want to use diycosmeticcontainers.com because diycosmetics.com is for bulk. It’s the same company though. They have great products (I mentioned them above). Diypak is sort of affiliated with them, but I haven’t tried them yet. They are newer.

Or recipes with equal amounts of oils and emulsifying wax for lotions. Or beeswax lotions. Those anoy me. Not if someone is just wondering, but the people who post the recipes go on and on about how it works great, with a picture of a perfectly smooth lotion. I doubt it.

Yes! And a “haha” button if we find something funny

Well BTSM-50 should give you that. I made a modified version of the cleansing balm from the book and even without adding water it’s pretty “dry-touch”, and once I add water, it makes my skin silky smooth (I like using the balm as “lotion concentrate”)

Would it be possible to add a like button? If we don’t have anything to add to the conversation but find it funny/interesting.

Sorry! I know it’s hard to resist buying more but hopefully the method is helpful. Cyn, don’t get a 10ml unless you make tiny batches. Just one lipstick fills to about the 10ml line on mine. I wouldn’t get less than 25. Mine is graduated up to 50 but has space above to maybe 70ml. It’s not very wide so it can be a bit harder to blend, but I grind all powders first, then just mix with a wooden skewer.

From your post, I assume you haven’t tried BTSM-50? You’ll love the dry touch it gives! It makes my skin sooo soft.

Are they all plastic or do you also use cotton ones?

For some reason I never even thought of wearing an apron for cosmetics. It would be useful though. After your comment, Belinda, I searched on amazon.ca, but there doesn’t seem to be any plastic ones. I found 1 out of thin canvas, and the rest are thicker cotton (with very nice designs). Where do you guys find yours?

I really wouldn’t use those. A lot of people do, but the lipstick ends up solidifying quickly and then you have to throw out the syringe after each use. With the glass beaker (which cost me 5$), it’s actually easier for me to fill and I can wipe the lipstick with a paper towel, then wash and sterilize. I hold my tube with a paper towel (in case I overflow), and pour it in. Quick and easy cleanup.

Haha, yes it’s addictive. I’ve been wanting to make a new order from TKB, not because I currently need ingredients, but because I’m scared to run out 😂

For the chubby lip pencils, I make a regular lipstick (but don’t use the long-wear base from the book, it’s way too soft and you end up with a huge blob on your lips, add some wax – haven’t tried to modify it yet). I fill them using a 50ml beaker. It’s so easy with one, but hard without the beak. For lip liner, just add more wax. I haven’t made eye liner pencil yet because I had purchased their thin pencils, but they were much shorter than listed. They were about 3 inches long. I might eventually make some.

I love using chubby lip pencils, but stopped using them because since I love having a ton of lipstick colours, I felt bad about having to waste the plastic when done. With the pots, I can wash, sterilize with 99% alcohol, and reuse for myself.
