Thanks! They really haven’t given me any specifics :/ I have no idea how many people will be there, how long it should be, if I’ll have A/V or not… I just got the email about 4 hours ago and it’s on Saturday. Eeeeep. I’ve called for more details, but they haven’t called back yet.

What kind of not sticking are you encountering? Is it not going on or are oily eyelids causing it to come off? Are you using primer?

Hmmm… I’m wondering… if you just let soap batter get to a suuuuuuper thick trace and then whipped it… hmmm.

    😀

I got my rose hydrosol from Voyageur; I liked that I could get smaller amounts. I find the scent to be much stronger and richer and… juicier? If that’s a thing for flowers? Anyhow, it’s downright amazing.

That article really made me think back to this woman who was selling stuff at a local market and very stubbornly insisting hydrosols couldn’t go bad. She made her own, too. Eeeeesh. That was scary then, and extra scary now!

It feels like thick water when it’s just a water gel, but there is definitely the potential to load that gel up with so many goodies that it could get sticky. I love how cooling and glide-y it is; I can move it around for ages before it starts to dry. Very cool! I added some vitamin B3 (another new love of mine) and I am schmearing my face with it like a bagel 😝

SimplyShe—check out YellowBee for tiny containers! I recently ordered a ton of 5g and 15g jars for a workshop I did, and they were wonderfully affordable 🙂

This thread makes me so darn happy! Ya’ll are so wonderful 🙂

Most of my lotion recipes are 100g and start in percentages, so if you swap the “g” for a “%” that’ll usually work out. I sometimes round up the water a bit to account for evaporation during heat and hold (depends on the recipe and how old it is, ha!), so that will often explain some 106% sort of recipes 🙂

I just made my first Ultrez thing! It’s so cool! I almost want to name it as it reminds me of Flubber 😝

Cyn—You can add peppermint to the lip paint, but be sure to decrease the amount of the liquid oils to compensate. When the lip paints get too wet they lose a lot of their awesomeness in terms of application accuracy and adhesion 🙂

Ah! I love these haha. I was at Windy Point yesterday and they were saying they want to get aprons that say “Keep Calm & Soap On” 😛

Hmm… which emulsifying wax are you using? And are you sifting your clay? Which preservative are you using? Hmmmmm.

If you have any Lebanese grocers in town, check them out, too! They’ll very likely be cheaper than Whole Foods.
