KeymasterOH lordy LOL. Reminds me of the mouthwash/shaving cream (??!) one for feet haha. Or all the aloe gel + charcoal “mascara”. Like… do these people actually try wearing that stuff for 10+ hours before posting that “recipe”?! 😛
Marie
KeymasterYeah, if you are in the USA shop with TKB all the way. Their prices, selection, and customer service are fantastic (and superior). I’ve never had a bad experience with Saffire Blue, BUT I know they know who I am… so I wonder if they go out of their way to keep me happy. I have heard other readers have had issues (maybe 2x a year?), but I’ve also heard from plenty who have received orders with no issues so… I dunno.

KeymasterHmmm… for cool colours, try using the blue-red iron oxide in place of red iron oxide, and avoid blends that call for yellow. That should be a good starting point!
Beautiful lip paint, Zil! I think some of the swatches may not’ve printed true to colour… not surprising given how hard that is to do, but still a bummer 😐

KeymasterHELLOOOOOO orange haha! I just bought a new bottle of SBO from NDA after quite a while of having one that is, from everything my readers have said, not nearly as crazy orange as anything NDA has sold since. I’m a bit afraid now LOL.
I am loving the Oat Milk Dream Cream these days, and the Moraine Lake body lotion. I tried adding about 1% dimethicone to the Moraine Lake one for a bit of added skin protection and that’s been pretty neat so far.
Also… nice spatula 😉

KeymasterBeautiful! Your skin really does glow 😀 Well done 😉 And thank you for sharing!

KeymasterWoohoo! Happy soaping 😀

KeymasterSome readers in the past tried to use ZO instead of TD and reported uniformly awful results 😛 I would wait until you have it rather than potentially wasting more expensive ingredients like boron nitride or silica microspheres! (And thank you for buying my book!)
Marie
KeymasterOk! This one should be fixed now, too. Keep me posted if it rears its ugly head again. Rarrr.

KeymasterPerfect colour matching, Cyn! Bang on 😉
Belinda—maybe consider IPM (isopropyl myristate) as the liquid/ “oil” for an oil-free powder? As an added bonus it lasts ages and feels quite lovely on the skin—quite dry and silky!

KeymasterHmm. I’m afraid I haven’t worked with that one; it isn’t any of the four listed in the book, or that I’ve been able to find in Canada. It will likely work if it was sold as a complete e-wax, but I cannot comment on if it will irritate eyes in mascara or not. I found Polawax, E-Wax NF, and BTMS-50 were all great… emulsimulse/ritamulse made my eyes feel like they were on fire :/

KeymasterIs it weird that being busy makes me happy? LOL. Also, I did a lot of this on the plane ride home (we had some very productive brainstorming sessions in charming old pubs and I was super keen to start, but not so keen I was going to forgo more pub-going!). Since I was in the air I didn’t have access to the full post copy so I just guessed as I worked on the initial layout… once I did have the full copy the thing just about doubled in length LOL. I guess I am much more verbose than previously thought 😝
Marie
KeymasterYes, exactly! See it in action here: https://youtu.be/-YXaO3yeIa0?t=4m35s 🙂

KeymasterHey Laura! Is there any INCI anywhere? The list of things that it’s made of?
Marie
KeymasterHmm… maybe stearic acid as a thickener instead? Hmmmmmm…
