I did the exact same thing! I mentioned it somewhere then went d’oh! But I pretty much only use my iPad, so had to download the app. They made me sign up.

You can make your pictures private too so only you can see them unless you’ve shared the link which is always nice.

Belinda! Can you post a photo of the sea buckthorn extract packaging? I am in total love with sea buckthorn and the guy I buy my oils, juice and teas from keep sending me sea buckthorn extract packages and I’ve not the faintest clue how to use it. I’ve a shelf with probably 500ish grams of the stuff and no idea how to use it.

Psssst! Belinda…. you should check out Taobao. THEY have everything foo decal cadavers to horses to houses for sale. Not to mention, cheese, baked goods, peon sell homemade soaps for 10,000rmb/65g and people actually buy them!

I know many soapers and DIY’ers who buy tons of stuff from Aliexpress. If anyone needs helps navigating, let me know!

    The kitchen sink.

I love extracts! But I wish there was more info on ratios for using them.

    Current Extracts:
Aloe, green tea, bamboo, nettle, burdock, cucumber, ummm… I know I have a few more that I use regularly! Honey, propolis, royal jelly…

    Hydrosols:
I’ve liters and liters of them sitting there collecting dust. I’m kind of meh on them.

    Luxury items:
    Silk, allantoin, silica microspheres

I can’t use Aliexpress as they won’t deliver to China. The sellers at just use Taobao! But I did some snooping,

The exact same scale I have The hinged lid broke very quickly so that is a con in my book. Other than that, I really like this little scale. The seller has a 98.4% approval rating and is a four diamond store. Alibaba uses the same rating system as Taobao and I would feel comfortable buying from this seller.

Another scale option This scale is from the same seller as above. 2AAA batteries.

Another option by a different seller Who has amazing ratings. This scale is a fair bit bigger, so storing it would be an issue. And the battery section is not too clear. It says 2AAA or a watch battery.

Play around with different sellers and look at their ratings when you buy from Aliexpress. If you are looking for a LOT of product, we are talking a drum size of a specific oil, check out Alibaba.com that’s even crazier.

    Hello Zil and Belinda!

    1) Royal jelly- I’ve found using it in its pure form causes some issues unless you keep it in the fridge/or use the higher amount of your preservative but use your product Up quick. I’ve found it works best as a mask. But, if you are keen to use it, rejoice! Royal jelly powder! It’s great added to the liquid portion of your lotions and creams and eye serum. I use it a lot. If you feel crafty, cut out some fat “c” shapes from some absorbent paper like Bounty. Apply some jelly around the temple and eye area put the c over top and pat down. Take a nap!

    2) eye serum
    Liquid:
Aloe juice, extracts of burdock, nettle, cucumber, green tea, bamboo, powders of honey and royal jelly, silk
    Oils:
Sea buckthorn, moringa, camellia, evening primrose, vitamin e, and some rosehip.
    Essential oils:
    Carrot, lavender, Geranium
I use polysorbate20 to bring them together rather than turkey red as turkey red burns!

I really love it! I gave about twenty dropper bottles out for Christmas with lots of positive feed back. A friend of mine is using it all over the face. It sinks in pretty quick, and I find with the nettle and burdock my under eyes look more awake as they help increase circulation. I’m currently playing with the ratios of extracts in my potions. But I’m learning I am very lazy when it comes to my skin and applying things. I’m in the middle of making my new face lotion and decided to add in all my extracts and powder and just use them over the whole face. I’m too lazy to open another bottle!

Aliexpress ladies! Honestly. Now that half my family uses it they won’t shut up.

My tiny scale is heaven sent! It goes from .01g to 500g which makes me happy. My previous scale was like Marie’s and I was constantly complaining.

I will let you know! Once I’ve got my water delivered, coffee, maybe putter in the kitchen, I’ve got a full day of massages, cupping and lessons planned for me. I’ll need to decide which one to wear (tough choice), and I’ll snap some pictures during the day and report back!

Mine is pretty simple at the moment:

    – A “snap”esque wash, I switch up the oils I include. But I am with Marie here wanting to know more about this Tigernut Oil. At the moment I have the Cold Snap (made with no menthol, 10g orange wax and 10g jojoba) and the orange wax one but made with menthol. Belinda, I found one gram of menthol crystals in lotion wicked tingly. But one gram in these types of recipes isn’t so bad. You get a little tingle. If you are worried, why not try a half gram or a quarter gram, let it set up, and see how it feels. Then, if it’s not to bad, melt down and add some more.

    – An apple cider vinegar toner with some salt and pollens and some other yummies.

    – my lotion is made with in no particular order; moringa, camellia and evening primrose oil, aloe water, (extracts/powders) burdock, nettle, cucumber, honey powder, silk, allantoin, green tea ummm… maybe some other stuff? My next batch I’ll be taking out the camellia oil and using sea buckthorn (2g fruit and 8g seed), my skin is missing sea buckthorn oil.

-eye serum combination of oils, mixed with aloe liquid mixed with some extracts and goodies, it’s quite lovely!

Mask: usually clay based with some moringa powder included.

If I actually remember that I have it and then remember to wear it. I’ve a few more colours I want to try out- and since applying it was wicked easier than the pencil thing, I’ll be making some black eye liner. But I think I might put a green smudge in it.

Blah! That lip paint picture doesn’t want to load!

The lip paints are strange. They go on with what I would consider a full coverage with great accuracy. And don’t be nervous! They were wicked simple to make!

I hate to say it, but I’ve not actually tried the lipsticks yet! I like to wait until a day has past because I find the too soft. I was hoping the Berry Red would be similar to Marie’s Black Plum, but it is too red. Now that I’ve perfected the basics and some basic colourings, it’s time to go crazy!

Huzzah! I know! The eye shadow refused to wash off the back of my hand till I got a scrub brush and went to town.

Cristie what colours did you end up making?

I wear a lot of grey as it seems to make my skin look darker. But never even thought of a grey eye liner. Hum. That would be interesting! I wonder what that would do to my eye colour?

Have you tried making the eye liner?

What do you mean by puffy? I mean I know puffy, but I’ve never met someone that I would think have puffy under eye. Lots of people say they do, but I’ve not noticed it.

I made a serum for one of my former students because she claimed she had puffy fleshy bags which I still to this day have no idea what she means and I saw her every day for four years.
