Soothing Micellar Water

Today we’re continuing our soothing series with this formula for a gentle Soothing Micellar Water. You’ll find many of the same soothing ingredients we’ve been using throughout the series, creating a soothing and softly scented facial cleanser. Micellar water is a gentle one-step cleanser designed to be swiped across the skin on a cotton pad—no rinsing needed. I love it for many things, but find it is extra brilliant for travelling (it’s a must for an on-the-plane overnight flight skin care routine). Paired with our Soothing Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum and our Soothing Facial Lotion we’re starting to have the makings of a full-on soothing skin care routine!

Rose Aloe Body Cream

Today’s recipe is for a rich, fragrant body cream designed to soothe, soften, and hydrate dry and irritated winter skin. It is super thick and creamy (definitely not pumpable!), making it incredibly decadent to use. You’ll scoop up a silky dollop of this Rose Aloe Body Cream with your fingers and massage it into your skin. You will instantly notice the rich rose scent and the rich-but-not greasy consistency. As it absorbs it leaves your skin is soft, velvety, and super hydrated. This cream is just the thing for a bit of post-bath pampering on a cold winter night—I hope you love it as much as I do!

Soothing Foaming Hand Wash

Today we’re continuing our “soothing” series with a super-simple Soothing Foaming Hand Wash. I wanted to be sure to include a hand wash in this series because our hands take a ton of abuse in the winter. Frequent hand washing is great for preventing the spread of the cold and flu, but it’s also great for drying out hands, leaving them feeling tight and irritated (or worse—cracked and bleeding). This hand wash features a gentle blend of surfactants and some soothing ingredients to help you keep your hands clean and happy as we seem to inch towards peak winter dryness.

Today we’re continuing our soothing series with this beautiful Soothing Facial Lotion. It’s a fairly lightweight facial lotion, positively packed with potent moisturizers, skin-soothing actives, and ingredients that help strengthen barrier function so your skin can be on its best behaviour while we wait for warmer days.

Soothing Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum

Today’s recipe is kicking off a new soothing skin care series that is perfectly timed for the driest, darkest, and often coldest part of the winter here in Calgary. The formulas in this series star a beautiful selection of wonderful, effective ingredients that have been proven to soothe, moisturize, and repair the skin. We’re starting with this simple, super-hydrating serum for a serious hit of moisturizing, barrier-boosting skin care goodness.

Hydrating Aloe Facial Mist

Today’s facial mist recipe was inspired by a recipe request and a cult favourite herb-spiked super-hydrating face spritz. Anuradha requested “a facial spritzer… something calming [and] refreshing,” and the product she linked to featured aloe vera and a selection of herbal extracts and humectants for all kinds of soothing, hydrating goodness, and it sounded both divine and utterly DIY-able!
