Argan Rose Valentine Bath Bombs

Happy almost-Valentine’s-Day! We’re celebrating this year with some seasonal bath bombs, featuring some shimmery mica painting and lovely pink fizzing. They smell beautifully of rose and lemon, in keeping with the shampoo bars I shared last week, but you could definitely choose a different valentine-y scent if you wanted to! Florals, vanilla, and/or chocolate all come to mind as deliciously seasonal scents 😄 I pressed these bath bombs into cubes using The Bath Bomb Press, though you can also hand-mould them if you don’t have a press.

Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars

These beautiful Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars were inspired by a popular LUSH product, and I’ve had a ton of fun developing and testing this formulation. It is structured very differently from other shampoo bars I’ve shared, with no melted fatty hardeners like cocoa butter or stearic acid. It also includes water, glycerin, and carrageenan, which all seemed rather novel when I first started working on these, but I’m thrilled with how it’s all turned out. The finished bars lather up incredibly decadently—if there’s such a thing as “too much” lather, this might be it! Rich, silky bubbles for days 😍 I’ve been using this bar as a shampoo and body wash, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Winter Solstice Facial Gel Cream

It’s time for another Bee Better project with a revamp of my first-ever face cream—2014’s Winter Solstice Face Cream. This new version uses several newer skin-loving ingredients to create an even better facial lotion that is designed to deeply hydrate and strengthen your skin. It’s somehow both rich and lightweight, with a gorgeous skin feel, a soft rosy scent, and all kinds of fabulous-for-skin ingredients. I hope you love this new version just as much as many of you loved the 2014 one!

Cranberry Orange Facial Serum

Today’s Cranberry Orange DIY is a silky, indulgent oil serum packed with antioxidants and some of my favourite natural carrier oils. A pump or two at the end of your skincare routine is all you’ll need to keep your skin soft and glowing through these dry, cold winter days. It pairs perfectly with the Cranberry Orange Facial Gel Cream I shared last week; I like to top the gel cream with a few drops of serum as the last two steps of my skincare routine. Swoon!

Sweetgrass Gel Moisturizer

This silky, softly-scented gel moisturizer has become a fast favourite in my skin care routine. It’s beautifully light and packed with things my skin loves. It is focussed on lightweight hydration, making it the perfect thing to sandwich between skin cleansers and more occlusive products like lotions and oil serums in your skin care routine. I know many of you have been asking for a gel moisturizer—hopefully this Sweetgrass Gel Moisturizer fits the bill!

Rosé Leave-In Hair Conditioner

I can hardly believe it, but I don’t think I’ve ever shared a formula for a leave-in hair conditioner before. I’ve had plenty of requests, but somehow such a thing has slipped through the cracks—until now! This lightweight Rosé Leave In Hair Conditioner helps hydrate, smooth, and re-vitalize hair between washes, and it smells delightful to boot!
