Strawberry Kiwi Cleansing Conditioner

I’m continuing our Strawberry Kiwi theme today with a formulation for a creamy and gentle Strawberry Kiwi Cleansing Conditioner. A cleansing conditioner is a lovely, indulgent way to gently cleanse and condition your hair with just one product. This one is creamy and silky, and smells wonderfully of juicy strawberries. It leaves your hair feeling clean and richly conditioned, and it’s lovely.

Strawberry Kiwi Conditioning Hair Treatment

Today’s formulation is designed to pamper your hair and your nose! It’s a decadently thick and silky Strawberry Kiwi Conditioning Hair Treatment, made with satiny kiwi seed oil and deliciously fragrant strawberry hydrosol. I’ve been enjoying applying this Strawberry Kiwi Conditioning Hair Treatment about once a week before working out or puttering around my home in my pyjamas, and then washing it out whenever I get around to showering for ultra-silky hair! I’ve discussed different ways you could use this formulation depending on what your hair loves in both the video and this blog post—I think there’s something for everyone!

Honey Bee Mine Body Lotion

Brr! This week has been frigid; as I type this, it’s -37°C with wind chill outside. It’s the first proper cold snap we’ve had this winter. Along with that cold, it’s also very dry. I currently have four (4!) humidifiers running in my home, and they barely make a dent in the dryness—I’m just less likely to wake up with my face prickling with dryness. So—formulation to the rescue! We’re showing some love to our skin with today’s Honey Bee Mine Body Lotion. This lovely lotion features rich shea butter, fragrant rose hydrosol, and some seriously moisturizing ingredients like glycerin and honey to help your winter skin be as happy as possible.

Shealoe Emulsified Body Butter

Today I’m sharing my first Bee Better 3.0 project; a soft and creamy Shealoe Emulsified Body Butter that’s an evolution on a shea butter and aloe vera heavy formulation I first shared in 2014, and then revised in 2019. This updated 2021 version uses a new emulsifier to create a product that is lighter, softer, smoother, and easier to apply. It’s definitely better, and you should make it 😄

Sun Bum Body Cream

Over the years I have received a lot of requests for a Sol de Janeiro Brazillian Bum Bum Cream DIY. I found a 2018 request from Nichole and a 2020 request from Leslie in my records, and I’m pretty darn sure there have been others that have been lost in the shuffle of email accounts and computers over the years. This DIY version doesn’t strive to be a straight dupe, but it does smell the same (yum!) and is very much in the spirit of the store-bought product. I hope you like it!

Phryne’s Milk of Roses

Last year I positively devoured Kerry Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher Mystery series. Set in Melbourne in the late 1920s, the novels star the glamourous and clever Miss Phryne Fisher, who solves all kinds of mysteries in style. I first discovered Phyrne in the TV show based on the books (I streamed it on Amazon Prime a few years ago), and after a 1920’s Gatsby-themed event I was set to attend last spring was cancelled, I rekindled my relationship with the Honourable Miss Fisher in book form. That rekindling is what inspired this formulation for Phryne’s Milk of Roses 🌹
