Argan Rose Valentine Bath Bombs

Happy almost-Valentine’s-Day! We’re celebrating this year with some seasonal bath bombs, featuring some shimmery mica painting and lovely pink fizzing. They smell beautifully of rose and lemon, in keeping with the shampoo bars I shared last week, but you could definitely choose a different valentine-y scent if you wanted to! Florals, vanilla, and/or chocolate all come to mind as deliciously seasonal scents 😄 I pressed these bath bombs into cubes using The Bath Bomb Press, though you can also hand-mould them if you don’t have a press.

Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars

These beautiful Argan Rose Pressed Shampoo Bars were inspired by a popular LUSH product, and I’ve had a ton of fun developing and testing this formulation. It is structured very differently from other shampoo bars I’ve shared, with no melted fatty hardeners like cocoa butter or stearic acid. It also includes water, glycerin, and carrageenan, which all seemed rather novel when I first started working on these, but I’m thrilled with how it’s all turned out. The finished bars lather up incredibly decadently—if there’s such a thing as “too much” lather, this might be it! Rich, silky bubbles for days 😍 I’ve been using this bar as a shampoo and body wash, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Winter Solstice Bath Bombs

Today we’re creating some striking bath bombs to celebrate the winter solstice (technically the solstice was the night of the 21st, but here in Calgary the 23rd is only 8 seconds longer than the 21st, so I think we can still call it solstice season!). A cool, purpley base shimmers like the night sky with accents of colour-shifting biodegradable glitter. Once in the bath, these sparkly tub treats fizz away, turning your bath water purple with dancing whorls of glitter. Pair with a mug of hot tea and a good book for a perfect winter night!

Mango Mango Bath Bombs

Today we’re making some fizzy orange globes of bath time happiness—Mango Mango Bath Bombs! I feel like this mango theme lends itself especially well to bath things because I love bright, happy, colourful bath things. The bombs themselves are bright orange, and then we’re having some fun with some colourful splatters and drizzles ’cause, well, why not? Mango on!

Sweetgrass Facial Cleanser

I’m loving this simple, glossy, honey-and-sunshine scented facial cleanser right now. It uses a new product that Windy Point has recently started carrying—a surfactant blend called Iselux Ultra Mild. Pre-blended surfactant products makes creating foamy/lathery things really easy, and I love the lather this particular blend produces (it’s really dense and fine—super luxurious!) so I thought we could make a few things with it. I’ve also provided plenty of alternatives later on in the post, but if you’re new to surfactants, a product like this is a fantastic place to start. We’re also continuing our sweetgrass theme using the stunning sweetgrass hydrosol from Plant’s Power, so you roll with the sweetgrass wonderfulness or easily make this cleanser differently (or un-) scented really easily.

Christmas Tree Bath Bombs

Today we’re making some fun, colourful Christmas Tree Bath Bombs! I took some decoration inspiration from the top of the Christmas Tree Soap bars pre-swirling, and had a lot of fun playing with mica splatters and scatters after molding up all the bath bombs. The base is really easy to work with—it molds beautifully and fizzes like crazy when you drop one into the tub. These bath bombs make fantastic stocking stuffers, and are also really fun to make with friends. Let’s get fizzy!
