Hand Wash for Lots of Handwashing

While frequent, thorough hand washing has always been a very important part of personal hygiene practices, its importance has skyrocketed recently as COVID-19 spreads around the world. Proper handwashing works better than hand sanitizer, but you do need to do it properly, and for long enough—I found this video from CBC really helpful for upping my handwashing game. Anywho, I formulated this hand wash to be suitable for lots & lots & lots of handwashing. It smells pretty, lathers beautifully, and glides around for ages so you can happily scrub-a-dub for the recommended handwashing time. Let’s dive in!

White Chocolate Peppermint Shampoo Bars

This beautiful cream-coloured White Chocolate Peppermint Shampoo Bar delivers oodles of bubbles and a wonderful minty-chocolate scent in one elegant package (so to speak—shampoo bars are packaging-free!). Chocolate Rhassoul Shampoo Bars

I’ve been working on these chocolatey, clay-spiked shampoo bars since early March, and I’m super excited to finally share them with you today! Peppermint Foaming Hand Wash

Today we’re re-stocking my handwash inventory with a fresh, zippy Peppermint Foaming Hand Wash. It’s a fast, no-heat project, and I’ve provided two slightly different versions. One version uses peppermint hydrosol for our scent, while the other makes use of a solubilizer so we can incorporate peppermint essential oil for the scent instead. Both are simple and effective, so you can choose which one you want to make based on what you have on hand.

Today we’re creating a gentle Lavender Facial Cleansing Bar—a solid foaming facial cleanser with a skin-happy pH, creamy lather, and a lovely lavender scent. Several bees have sent in requests for another solid facial cleanser, with references to products from Cerave and Drunk Elephant. I’ve been testing this one for a while now, and I’m really excited to share it with you!

Pemberley Foaming Facial Cleanser

This gentle Pemberley Foaming Facial Cleanser boasts the loveliest dense, creamy lather and a mouth-watering scent blend. It’s bright, sweet, and slightly spicy with deep rose and juicy citrus notes. Making-wise, it comes together so quickly that I suspect it’ll take you longer to get your ingredients out than it’ll take to make this facial cleanser! Simply stir everything together in a beaker and you’re off to the foamy, sudsy races. Booyah!
