Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion

Today we’re going back to the basics with a Super Simple Moisturizing Lotion. I pared down the ingredients as much as I could, so this lotion just features five (5!) inexpensive ingredients that can be easily modified to suit what you have, or what you prefer. If you’ve never made lotion before, this is a fantastic place to start! In this post (and the partner video) I’ll be going over the essential components of lotions so you can easily and confidently make your own simple lotions at home. I’ll also be doing a follow-up live stream on this formulation this upcoming Sunday on YouTube where I’ll answer the questions I get + some of the more common DIY lotion questions I’ve heard over the years, so be sure to tune in for that as well!

Watermelon Mint Whipped Sugar Scrub

Today we’re whipping up a bit of cherry pink summery fun! This perky pink sugar scrub smells wonderfully of juicy watermelon and fresh peppermint. A creamy base self-emulsifies with your bathwater, turning into lotion as you scrub away dead skin with the sugar in the formulation, leaving you with ultra-soft, smooth, and moisturized skin. Lovely!

Liquid Blurring Skin Tint

If you’re questing for a sorta-foundation that offers some skin-perfecting goodness without a whole lot of coverage, this Liquid Blurring Skin Tint is for you! It lightly blurs imperfections and gently evens out skin tone, pairing beautifully with a bit of concealer for any areas that need a bit more coverage or colour correction. It applies easily with fingers or a damp sponge, leaving the skin looking like its best self. It’s also really easy to make, and you can easily customize it!

Lavender Aloe Cream Facial Cleanser

Today we’re blending up a gentle Lavender Aloe Cream Facial Cleanser, featuring fragrant lavender hydrosol, soothing aloe vera, and gentle Cocamidopropyl Betaine. This lotion-like cleanser is brilliant for dry skin, offering great cleansing without being harsh. You can easily customize the scent and adjust it to work with the carrier oils you have on hand. I’m loving it as a stand-alone cleanser morning and night, and I hope you will as well!

Intense Hand Rescue Cream

This decadent Intense Hand Rescue Cream became an instant favourite of mine while it was still warm in the beaker. It’s thick and rich, with a very luxurious skin feel and stunning slip. It’s also loaded with all kinds of great-for-skin goodies like colloidal oatmeal, ceramides, allantoin, shea butter, and glycerin. I’ve been applying it to my hands and body constantly as crap-tons of handwashing and dry weather continue to do a number on my skin. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Soft Velvet Cleansing Oil

Today we’re whipping up a velvety cleansing oil that’s great for all kinds of facial cleansing, but especially brilliant for removing makeup. You can easily customize it to use up any older carrier oils you need to get through quickly, too! With just five ingredients (and it could be 4!), this Soft Velvet Cleansing Oil could hardly be easier. Let’s dive in!
