Moisturizing Repair Lotion

Happy new year, and happy 2021! I decided to kick off this new year with an evolution of the formulation that kicked off 2020—my much-loved Moisturizing Repair Cream (please read that post, too—there’s lots of good background information in it!). This lotion-y evolution features Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate as the emulsifier instead of Glyceryl Stearate SE or Polawax, creating a lighter, more glossy finished product that is more lotion than cream but still has all the gorgeous richness of the cream version. I am loving it to bits, and I hope you will too!

Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream

This Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream is packed with great-for-skin actives and just a hint of mica for skin that positively glows. I was inspired to create a complexion-enhancing moisturizer by products like Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter and L’Oreal’s Lumi Glotion, but this Ice Palace Ceramide Glow Gel Cream has some serious skincare credentials as well! You can use this gel cream alone or apply it under your foundation for a gorgeous glowing-from-within look—make sure you watch the video to see it in action. Let’s dive in!

Hyaluronic Acid B5 Facial Serum

If you’ve been reading Humblebee & Me for more than a few weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard me say that Calgary (where I live) is dry. It’s the kind of dry where bread usually goes stale rather than sprouting mould. If I visit somewhere humid and buy crackers they are probably going to go all floppy and soggy on me because I am not in the habit of carefully re-sealing bags of things that are supposed to be crispy because, well… they’d stay crispy sitting in an open bowl in my kitchen at home! While this dry-ness is very handy for things like airdrying laundry, it’s less awesome for my skin, as you can probably guess by the constant parade of moisturizing skincare formulations I share! Today’s project is another float in my dry-skin-battling parade—a richly hydrating Hyaluronic Acid B5 Serum.

Soothing Makeup Finishing Spray

Today I’m sharing something I’ve been loving lately—a Soothing Makeup Finishing Spray. You certainly don’t have to use it over makeup (it’s also a great soothing & hydrating mist for bare skin!), but I’ve been using this as the last step in my makeup routine (and sometimes throughout the day if it’s extra dry or hot!) and I love how it works. This spray leaves my skin dewy and eliminates that powdery, “hey, that’s makeup on your face” look that can sometimes happen. It’s mostly water, aloe vera juice, and hydrosol, but this mist also has a great supporting cast of moisturizing and soothing ingredients. Let’s dive in!

Brightening Gel Serum

I first developed this cream last autumn under the title “ultra gel cream”. When you look at the ingredients you’ll know why—it’s pretty darn “ultra”. It is positively packed with things that are bomb-diggity awesome for the skin, helping to brighten, hydrate, soothe, and heal. I was a bit on the fence about sharing it as it does contain a lot of somewhat fancy to straight-up fancy ingredients that not everyone will have… but it’s also awesome, and I think people who do have (or purchase) the ingredients will love it. I’ve also had a lot of requests for anti-ageing products & products for more mature skin, and I think this lovely serum more than qualifies!
