White Chocolate Peppermint Christmas Soap

Welcome to Christmas theme #2 for 2019—White Peppermint Chocolate! This theme will feature lots of deliciously fragrant cocoa butter and fresh peppermint essential oil, plus complimentary clays, micas, hydrosols, and other fun things. Our first foray into White Peppermint Chocolate-y goodness is this white and green swirly soap, positively sparkling with pepperminty freshness and a rich cocoa undertone. Yum!

Cranberry Orange Christmas Soap

Today we’re kicking off the 2019 holiday making season with our first Christmas soap and the launching of our first 2019 Christmas theme—Cranberry Orange! This theme will be starring ingredients like juicy-smelling cranberry seed oil, cranberry seeds, orange essential oil, suitably hued micas and pigments, and possibly some of the actual foods as well. This swirly cold-processed soap features cranberry seed oil, cranberry seeds, orange essential oil, and some beautiful micas to create some lovely swoopy swirls.

Sweetgrass Gradient Swirl Soap

Today we’re continuing our sweetgrass series with a beautiful Sweetgrass Gradient Swirl Soap, featuring soft swirls that gradate from a reddy copper to pale cream, much like a sunset. The top is dolloped and swirled, with some shimmery mica whorls and a dusting of gold sparkles. I’ve left these bars unscented, choosing to channel the theme by focussing on warm, golden hues inspired by dried sweetgrass and its sunny, sweet scent.

Strawberry Rose Soap

These richly scented, pink swirly bars of Strawberry Rose cold processed soap were so much fun to make, and I’m so excited to share them with you today. They’re a continuation of our Strawberry Rose serum and pair a decadent fragrance oil with pink clay hanger swirls for some beautiful bricks of fragrant, juicy goodness. The swirl inspiration came from watching Zahida of Handmade in Florida work her magic at the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild annual conference in Dallas back in May—if you haven’t swooned over Zahida’s work yet, I highly recommend doing so!

Pemberley Soap

If we’re going to be making Jane Austen inspired things, we obviously have to make a soap. I feel very confident that Pemberley would have the loveliest of soaps in all of the (presumably numerous) washing and bathing facilities. I also feel more confident than is perhaps historically warranted that the occupants of Pemberley bathed regularly. Anyhow—I wanted to create a soap worthy of gilded soap dishes and claw-footed tubs—something with the understated visual grace I associate with the Regency era. These creamy bars with a subtle, swirly top are what I came up with.

Mango Mango Soap

Today we’re getting our mango on (again!) with a lovely loaf of bright orange, tropically scented cold processed soap. I had a lot of fun playing with some bright & summery micas, channelling all kinds of mango-y goodness into colourful slices of sudsy soap that kind of make me want to bake a mango pound cake (how good would that be?!). As much as I started this Mango Mango theme with summery daydreams in the middle of winter, I also thinks it works beautifully in spring with bright colours and general happiness 😄Let’s get soaping!
