Nourishing Hand Rescue Lotion

This gorgeous Nourishing Hand Rescue Lotion is another “riff” project—taking inspiration from April’s much-loved Intense Hand Rescue Cream with the aim of creating something similar, but lighter and more pump-top/squeeze tube friendly. I positively adore April’s Intense Hand Rescue Cream—I’ve got nearly-empty tubs on my desk and bedside table, and I still use it every day to counter all the hand washing I’ve been doing. Knowing I’d need more soon, I opted to adapt the formulation to create a thinner version that could be packaged up in more portable packaging, and here we are!

Whipped Cream Calendula Facial Cleanser

This decadent Whipped Cream Calendula Facial Cleanser is a riff on the Rose & Honey Rich Cream Cleanser I shared earlier this summer. That cleanser was really popular, and I really loved it, so I thought I’d play with the idea a bit more. This variation features a touch of surfactant for improved rinse-off, a slightly larger oil phase, a slippy-er skin feel, and it’s whipped for added fluffy decadence! It’s still a rich, gentle cleanser, with a fairly simple ingredients list, and I love it 😄

Bubbly Bath Dough

I had a heck of a time trying to name this fun DIY! Generally speaking, it’s a sort of play-dough for the bath or shower that can be sculpted into whatever your heart desires, used as a body wash, and/or crumbled under a running tap to create all kinds of bubbles. Bath Squishes? Bubbly Bath Squishies? Tub Flubber? Sudsy Tub Flubber? Sud Putty? Tub Putty? Bubbly Bath Putty? Tubber Bubble Flubber? Bubble Tub Flubber? Hmm. In the end, I settled on Bubbly Bath Dough simply because it clearly communicates what we’re making, but dangit… I really liked Tubber Bubble Flubber 😂 (Try saying that ten times fast!)

Creamy Jelly Facial Cleanser

Today we’re creating an ultra-gentle Creamy Jelly Facial Cleanser! This gelled facial cleanser features some lovely soothing ingredients, a super mild surfactant, and a really fun, jell-o-y consistency. I’m loving it as my sole cleanser first thing in the morning, and as a secondary cleanser in the evening (before bed I use an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen first). It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean but not dry or tight ❤️

Watermelon Mint Foaming Hand Wash

Our summery Watermelon Mint series continues today with a simple Watermelon Mint Foaming Hand Wash that pumps out thick clouds of the most decadent lather, making handwashing a treat. To keep things as easy as possible, I’ve used a pre-blended surfactant product so you don’t need multiple different types of surfactants—making this a great DIY for anyone new to working with surfactants. There’s no heat required, so just measure, stir, wait, and you’re ready to bubble!
