ParticipantWholesale Supply has 2 ounce micas in jars! I mean, how am I supposed to walk by? Plus they have containers as 12 packs! It’s as if they know I’m shopping!
Bought my lye and my soap holder so it can dry from essential depot. So one stor down with minimal outlay.
But NDA, wholesale supply, Brambleberry, TKB….omg…the stuff! Did you know TKB has a kit with all the goodies you could want, including a scale that weighs at 0.01 gram?

ParticipantWSP is dangerous, NDA dangerous, Brambleberry dangerous, TKB DANGEROUS!! Too. Many. Things!! I want to buy them all!!!
WSP has THE BEST prices on containers, I think. I mean, how are you supposed to just let them sit there…..unwanted….I just have to take them home, you know?!?! And all the goodies at TKB, I mean, really, why wouldn’t you buy all the samples?? Why??
Yes, yes I did see look at all the kits. Are you kidding me?? I looked at everything on every page of that website! I even made a list off all the things I wanted to try…pages of stuff…..It just makes me ask, why, WHY wasn’t I born rich?? WHY??? I could buy ALL THE THINGS!!! Haha!

ParticipantMy parents stole me from my royal parents, I know they did. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
Absolutely Everything Kit for Mineral Makeup
This has my immediate omg, must have now. What do you think?

ParticipantI think the website says it’s sold out. 😜
You’ll just have to console yourself with just a few things, not the whole enchilada. Now, now, don’t cry!! Here, have a Tim Tam…..

ParticipantNo!!! I need it!

ParticipantI’m also being tempted by TKB. I’m trying to resist…. I have everything I need, but not a lot of calcium carbonate and magnesium myristate, which I’ve been using a lot recently. It’s only 30$ US for what I want, but with shipping and dollar conversion, it’s $80CAD *cries*.

ParticipantOMG! That really sucks Joyful!! They need to do away with the whole international shipping thing if it’s the same continent. I mean, really, we’re neighbors!! Why make things so difficult?!?
February 26, 2017 at 10:21 pm #20658Joyful
ParticipantI know 😭 The shipping is around 25$ US, plus 45$ product (I added something) + conversion = almost 92$, and that’s assuming they don’t charge duties, which they randomly do or don’t. It’s double the price. It seems so long ago that our dollar was higher. If at least they could be the same! I need products! Lol. Once I got it shipped to a company that exists just to receive packages from the US for Canadians (mostly Ontarians since it’s about 30 minutes away if not for the wait times to cross) and the shipping was only 6$, but it’s not worth it spending a total of sometimes 5 hours at the border. I’m trying to convince myself to wait until we move (so it would be end of summer/fall), but at the same time my brain is saying “but you’ll be in the countryside… what if you $100 of products gets lost!”. What do you guys think I should do? I got a gift of $60, which I forgot I had, so I would only be spending $30 technically, but I always feel guilty spending money on non-essentials, lol.

ParticipantDo not ask me. I got a bonus and shopped. Yes, I did. 😱 I needed stuff. But omg, I shopped. So, I’m a bad influence. Belinda is too. But if you want encouragement to shop for good stuff, oh, we’re perfect to help!

ParticipantI think I will! My grandmother will be visiting this week (she’s staying a while), so I will be making her a bunch of makeup and don’t want to run out. I think I will buy it. I keep wanting to add ingredients though! I want to add sunflower wax just to try it.
February 27, 2017 at 8:51 pm #20714Cynnara
ParticipantRice bran wax. I bought a sample. They say it’s used in mascara, etc. I was like, oooh. So, just enough for a trial or two. Addictive. I’m going to have to send gifties to my family. It’s time they get some goodies. Lol

ParticipantJoyful, where in Ontario? I wonder if we could share shipping? I’m way up north, but my sister is in Wasaga 🙂
February 28, 2017 at 1:48 pm #20718Joyful
ParticipantSorry! I had already placed my order before seeing this, but anyways, I think the driving would have cost more than the shipping since I am about 3 hours away from Wasaga. I’m in the south of the Niagara region.
I decided not to purchase the sunflower wax, so I bought castor oil (8oz), candelilla wax (8oz), calcium carbonate (1 lb), carmine (17.5g), and magnesium myristate (8oz).
I substitute magnesium myristate wherever magnesium stearate is required. I’ve never tried magnesium stearate, but have tried zinc stearate (which some people say are interchangeable), and it is much more rough than magnesium myristate. Magnesium myristate is so smooth and fluffy.
It ended up being $100 CAD, but let’s pretend it was only $40 since I got the present 😉.

ParticipantAwesome! If you get a chance, visit the Canadian NDA, https://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/. I’m linking to the US. Choose CA and visit the goodness. Though, I admit, they don’t have some of the goodies TKB has! We’re going to have to find good cosmetic resources for our neighbors because it’s not fair for you to suffer. I know SCM, Swift Crafty Monkey talks about a place she buys in CA- Windy Point Soap. https://www.windypointsoap.com/ So that might help!
