I’ve been having fun playing with non-CP shampoo bars! These ones are made with SCI, SLSa, Amphosol CG, and Coco Betaine, plus some other goodies like phytokeratin, silk, and rose wax. I am loving how I can incorporate pricier EOs since saponifiation doesn’t obliterate them, and it’s nice not needing an acidic rinse. These are definitely nowhere close to being post-worthy, but I thought I’d share what I’m working on 🙂

Interesting! I mainly co-wash my hair and only shampoo once a week, but am always on the lookout for interesting projects to try (my friends are always willing to take what I can’t or don’t use to try themselves….haha). I’ve got cocamidopropyl betaine, DLS mild (INCI Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate), and an apple surfactant (INCI Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids) that I thought sounded interesting. I mainly use the Coco Betaine to make a “low-poo” shampoo for my husband but have yet to really delve into formulating with surfactants on a larger scale. I really want to try some of the facial cleansers you’ve posted on your website, but am hesitant to spend the money when I’m not sure I’ll like what I make. Your all-in-one CP soap recipe is such a winner, I use it for face, body, and shaving. I hate to mess with success!😊 Plus, I’m running out of cabinet space!

I’m liking the sound of these but oh boy, more ingredients to buy. Not a bad thing 🙂

I adore your stone back drop by your stove! It’s lovely!

I still have not been able to dabble in surfactants. I so want to and cannot wait! Finding the translations for them is proving a bigger task than I thought, and for the time being I’ve got a few things to play with (eye liner for the win!!) but when I’m back from England I’m going to give Taobao a run for its money in searches!
