I’ve been wondering about whether you need to include a preservative when you use vegetable powders in formulas. From your Beetroot Lip Gloss, I take it you don’t. Am I right or is absence of a preservation just specific to this use of beetroot?
You must ALWAYS use a preservative when you have water/water soluble liquid and plant material in a product. The recipe for the beetroot lip gloss is a few years old and from the time Marie was still experiementing with preservatives (I’m guessing), because all of her recent lip gloss recipes that use glycerin include a preservative. If you were to make this recipe, I would deifinitely add a preservative.
You'll need to upload them to a free image hosting service first—Imgur (http://imgur.com/) is great and doesn't require you to sign up for an account. Simply click " New Post" at the top of the page, drag your images into the window that pops up, and the images will automatically upload. From there you can hover the images and copy the URL that appears; simply paste that URL into your post on a new line and the image will appear automatically when you post!
