So Barb, did your makeup stay put through all your travels?? How long lasting was it?? You’re our tester model!

Zil, just looked up the UD Naked pallet and those colors are gorgeous! I need to hack that too. Well, when I run out of all the piles of stuff I have now…When you don’t wear eyeshadow but three to four times a year, you tend to have it forever!😋

Alrighty! So my sort of changed it up to try to get a little more oomph, and I think I might have ended up adding way too much oomph. I’m letting this batch harden up, then will apply and will know for sure!

    4g eyeliner base
    2/8 silver white mica
    1/8 purple oxide
    1/16 black oxide

Annnnnnd! I like it! It’s not quite the same as the original, as it is a little more dark, where the other one was a bit more purple.

    So you can compare:

I think I like the old recipe better, it was a little more I think the word I’m looking for is elegant. So Earl Grey by Cristie lives on!

I can’t tell the difference, at least not in the photo. Both look great with your eyes. You have very pretty eyes and beautiful eye color Barb!

Thank you Belinda! I love my eyes. I just wish I didn’t have to wear glasses or contacts.

Oh! And for anyone who does thinking about making their own makeup? The eye shadows, lines, mascara… I’m a little of a klutz and have poked myself in the eye with brushes covered in my homemade stuff. I’ve even inserted my contacts where I have no idea how, makeup powder got on the inside of the contact. No pain. No watery eyes. Everything felt good. I find my eyes don’t dry out when I wear this makeup with my contacts.

I wear contacts and glasses too. Can’t see nuthin’ without them! My eyes are just plain ol’ brown, though. My husband has pretty blue eyes but our daughter got my eyes. No surprise there! I think it’s funny, though, he has four children and they all have a different eye color. Oldest has hazel, second has blue, third has green, and baby girl has brown.

I’ve not poked myself in the eye with my makeup, but I haven’t made any of the eye stuff yet. I will be interested to see if I have any irritation, because I am sure I will poke myself in the eye at some point. It’s inevitable! Haha

I wear glasses. My docs vetoed the contacts. Sigh…..

I have green eyes. Not my mom or Dad’s eyes. Go figure. Lol

I kept asking where my true royalty parents were. I was told I wasn’t that lucky. Sigh. I wished for Elizabeth Taylor’s eyes many times, even today. Sigh…

Yeah, I think we all had that dream where we were really a princess but just didn’t know it yet. 👸 Where’s my tiara, jewels, castle, and royal prince?!?!!

I was always more of the money, the cool castle, and the title so I can go places other people can’t. Yeah, I’m that person. I want to hold the museum pieces, I want to go into the closed sections, and I want in the pyramids. It’s not my fault. I blame my grandfather for this history indulging need.

The jewelry thing is pure my mom. She got me into that mess and she never repented doing it. Amused her to no end. Fabrege eggs…her fault entirely.

YES!!! PURPLE is the most problematic COLOR in the entire world, followed by blue. maybe it’s because purple is a natural pH detector, changing from blue to pink depending on acidity…
or maybe because it’s such a perfect balance of hot + cold (red + blue)… it’s called the color of spirituality… but musings aside, i have been having trouble with purple, too! it’s just its purply nature to be difficult!

So, I’ve been using the Palladio bronze eyeliner liquid (I’m practicing for when I make mine!) and I’ve decided it’s a must have colour. Worse, I’ve fallen in love with the container. It stands, rarely tips, and it’s just perfect. Lol I’ve discovered I like their colour 🎨.

I think they need to make DIY containers like the Palladio container you have, Twin. Those are so cool!

Interesting facts about the color purple, bellbottom! I never thought of it being the perfect blend of hot and cold! I really like thinking about it that way! Difficult yet beautiful!
