ParticipantI’m a little confused as to what you mean Penny. You mean use 75% black and 25% blue? I think that would create a very… black color. I made mine with just blue iron oxide and it isn’t super obvious that it’s blue on the eyelashes.

ParticipantYou should!

ParticipantI made the blue, and it worked great! More interesting than black 😉

ParticipantSo what would happen if you used a mascara tube? I bought some online but I’ve read here that you should be using a pot.
Also, has anyone experimented with different colors of mascara? I was thinking I could use blue iron oxide instead of black, or even put a little carmine and blue in there for purple. Let me know what y’all think!

ParticipantThank you, Belinda! That was really helpful. I too have crazy curly/sometimes wavy hair, so now I understand the downside to putting silicones in your hair.
I might consider buying some for lotion because of your advice, thanks again!

ParticipantThe book suggests iron oxide, not mica, that would be a bit too shimmery for foundation I would think. Look for chromium green oxide instead.

Participantbellbottom the coconut oil completely blended with the other oils in a lip gloss, so that couldn’t happen
