Shh, don’t tell anyone..but once upon a time…I used to be a MK consultant. Yup. I was.

I finally got the color right with my foundation! I don’t plan on wearing it straight, but I did whip up some liquid foundation using the lightest coverage airbrushing powder, and I love that stuff!

It took me quite a while to get the color right, too much of this, not enough of that, etc. Finally, I was almost there, but something was missing. I added a couple specks of blue ultramarine, and I got it! That was quite suprising, as I’m not very dark skinned at all. I guess I just have an olive-y/cool undertone! I started with the Marie blend and went up quite a bit from there. In the end, this was my final blend:

    Yellow Iron Oxide- 3/8 + 7/64 tsp
    Red Iron Oxide- 1/16 + 1/32 tsp
    Brown Iron Oxide- 3/64 tsp
    Blue Ultramarine- A few specks
    Titanium Dioxide- 1 + 3/8 tsp

Way to go Maggie! I will have to work on my color for foundation since I’ve been in the sun this summer. I never would have thought to use blue ultramarine!
