Chocolate Rhassoul Shampoo Bars

I’ve been working on these chocolatey, clay-spiked shampoo bars since early March, and I’m super excited to finally share them with you today! They’ve got a stunning, creamy lather that leaves your hair feeling fabulous, and I’m making them with my beautiful new automatic press from the Edmonton-based The Bath Bomb Press company. You don’t need a press to make these, but I’m sure having a ton of fun with mine and love how quickly it produces super sturdy & professional-looking shampoo bars.

Sweetgrass Conditioning Hair Gel Serum

I’ve been having lots of fun with gel-type things recently, and that got me to thinking about hair gels. That led to me wondering why hair gels are almost always focussed on hold. Gels are a great format for delivering mostly hydrous ingredients in an easily steerable manner—we can use them to add lightweight viscosity to products so they aren’t too drooly or runny. So, why not make other hair gel things—like a gelled hair conditioner? A sort of conditioning hair serum in gel form? As you’ve probably guessed, that’s what we’re making today!

Rosé Leave-In Hair Conditioner

I can hardly believe it, but I don’t think I’ve ever shared a formula for a leave-in hair conditioner before. I’ve had plenty of requests, but somehow such a thing has slipped through the cracks—until now! This lightweight Rosé Leave In Hair Conditioner helps hydrate, smooth, and re-vitalize hair between washes, and it smells delightful to boot!

Mango Mango Cleansing Conditioner

After sharing my Mango Mango Shampoo Bar formula there were questions about a Mango Mango Conditioner, and I’m excited to share this cheery orange and oh-so-fragrance Mango Mango Cleansing Conditioner formula with you today! You can use this as both a cleansing conditioner or a normal conditioner—I find it works well as a sole cleanser most of the time, but if I’ve been using more hairspray or gel than usual it can be nice to start with a shampoo bar sudsing up and then follow that with a palmful of this conditioner from the ears down. However you decide to use it I think you (and your hair) will really enjoy the smooth, creamy consistency and gentle conditioning of this happy orange conditioner 😊
