This silky Airbrushing Primer Stick is basically a fantastic hybrid of primer, stick foundation, and my airbrushing powder. It helps control oil, blur imperfections, even out your skin tone, mattify your complexion, and keep your makeup on longer—all awesome things, no? It also goes with a silky smooth, dry-touch finish that is downright luxurious. You can put it in a stick or a compact, making it all kinds of versatile (I’m definitely more skilled with the compact application). I’m loving it combined with a touch of concealer for a bit of lightweight complexion perfection, and I think you will, too.

A couple weeks ago I was having a patio chat with my friend Dallas, who was dithering over what to do with his facial hair. It was at the scruffy hipster beard stage, and he was considering sporting mutton chops, or perhaps a sturdy ‘stache. In his beard researching adventures he had started to learn about beard balms, oils, and mustache waxes, and was generally perplexed about the entire thing. Could he just use hair conditioner, he wondered? And that got me to thinking… I could make a conditioning beard balm.

This divine, lightweight, Heavenly Cocoa Lotion went straight into my purse, and that is high praise. Jasper requested a “simple yet effective facial moisturiser. Something a little bit like the LUSH Celestial Moisturiser… I worked for the company a while back as a product trainer and it is their best selling moisturiser, so I feel a formulation based on this cream would be really useful for your subscribers too!” The original ingredient list had some really lovely things in it—almond oil, cocoa butter, and lots of vanilla—and we all know I’m a total sucker for cocoa and vanilla, so how could I resist?

I’ve lost track of the number of requests for a cleansing oil I’ve received over the last little while. Danielle, Christine, and Shelley all sent some in, and then there’s been a bunch in the comments on various posts and videos, so I figured I should pull this one off my never-ending to-play list (much better than a to-do list!) and make it—stat! And I’m very glad I did. This silky citrus-scented Grapefruit Deep Cleansing Oil leaves my skin feeling all kinds of clean and happy. I love the scent first thing in the morning, too.

Last autumn Angela wrote in asking for a DIY version of an expensive calendula-infused eye balm she was using in Portugal. The ingredient list was beautiful, and as usual, the price tag was a touch shocking. So, with her enthusiasm for the product I took that ingredients list and went for a bit of a run to create a smooth, lightweight balm. Angela’s Calendula Eye Balm is packed with anti-inflammatory calendula and lightweight oils designed to penetrate and moisturize the delicate skin around the eyes (but it’s also great on the rest of the face as well as on hands and lips).
