ParticipantLove that liner, Penny! I can’t tell the difference betwixt the two, both pretty. Eyeliner is a biggie for me because my lashes aren’t thick enough and I need that darkness at the base.
What make-up item can’t you live without?
#1. Mascara. That goes with me on the deserted island.
#2 liner. Period.Cristie
ParticipantHey Mini~
You possess an awful lot of eyelashes. I’m shaking my jealous fist in the air looking at your photo!I haven’t made the mascara yet, nor do I even know what cake mascara is but your lashes look good.
I consider mascara to be that one beauty item I could never live without and really should make up a twenty year stash of it. Just in case!Cristie
ParticipantWine helps all things math and at all times, Penny 😀. Except breakfast. I draw the line at breakfast.
Belinda, running the house makes us Einstein’s with measures. Half of 1 1/2 cups is 3/4 cup and 3 TSP always equals 1 tbsp. Those are ingrained in our heads early on with our mommy careers.
But when I see Marie’s recipe call for 3/64 of something, I become self doubtful and agonize… Does she mean a third of the 1/64 little spoon or do I scoop three times with the 1/64 spoon?????
It’s like I’m back in 3rd grade but this time there’s no one to whisper the question to when teachers back is turned.Where did my common sense suddenly go?

ParticipantHow red is this, Misty? I cannot do dark anything on these lips either. But like some color, you know?
What can you compare your color to?Cristie
ParticipantI know why I love your colors so much, Penny! I have a plaid flannel, a favorite, that’s all the colors on your hand, except the second green swipe from the left.
How did you do that???Cristie
ParticipantUgh. Math comes in to my brain, swims around thrashing wildly and leaves, leaving a mess in my head.

ParticipantI haven’t been inventing new shadow colors because I’m correcting about 30 shadows I bought years ago from a mineral makeup company.
The shadows, at least a long time ago, I swear are nothing more than mica and titanium. Well, I’m fixing that by adding them to Marie’s base recipe. And it’s working and I’m so happy.Cristie
ParticipantBelinda, aren’t your daughter’s puffs cute on her? They add such character! My youngest son was born with them and I was totally in love with those puffs. So cute on kids.
Cristie
ParticipantPuffy. Well, some people are flat to concave under their eyes. Like the lady in the video. Very smooth transition to the cheekbones. Not me. My under eye skin puffs outward some.
When I’m in a mood, I’ll whine about the bags under my eyes and husband will say, “what bags?”
Well he’s supposed to say that. These puffy’s could turn into bags when I’m old.
Did your serum help her imaginary puffs? 😀. And what was in it?Cristie
ParticipantWell, it’s an honest review! I do dab my eyes with that special ingredient you mentioned in your book. You know the one. I also added a pinch of that ingredient in your finishing powder because I have a large baggie of it. Come to think of it, I have an awful lot of white powder baggies around here lately! Good thing they’re labeled with professional sounding words.
Penny, I opted for the brown and a very light mica that’s a soft lavender. But it’s not really lavender or blue at all. I don’t know what to call it. I love the color but not straight on my eyes. It’s pretty neutral now since adding to the base. And it fits my non glamorous lifestyle. Now when I know Fed Ex is coming or its Monday trash pick up, I’m full face 😀 .When I take the time to learn how to upload photos, I shall do it. I love seeing other people’s pictures, so keep them coming.
Cristie
ParticipantSmart to add the green!
Cristie
ParticipantSee, I think gray -or grey- makes me look paler but not in a bad way. I’m brown red haired and brown eyed with warm yellow undertones and gray -or grey- flatters me.
I’m putting in my order for charcoal liner and *gray shadow because you’re a little Speedy Gonzales with this hobby 😀. I can’t compete. You win!
*Grey
Cristie
ParticipantNice. Great combo! I’m really liking that champagne.
Cristie
ParticipantBeautiful! I’m nervously working my way to lip paints. I’m making the lip balms as I type.
I love the Berry Red but it’s too strong for me. Well, I suspect it is. If my lips were fuller I could do it but they’re sort of just under medium fullness. I got to be careful with color.
Tell me how you love these paints.Cristie
ParticipantWow! You have been busy and what beautiful greens you have there!
I’m impressed, you are not afraid of color. I love green because I can wear it, so I’ll refer to your post when I brave the greens. Now how about some grays? My coloring says No but gray compliments me with no explanation.
